Stussy is lending a hand to Swagger, who is celebrating their 12th year in existence. The two got together on some tees in three colors as well as two very simple and handsome sunglasses and a New Era 59Fifty fitted cap. The tees come in a sky blue, white and black and bear branding from both brands, while the shades come in a very solid light brown tortoise and a sophisticated black. Kris Van Assche is launching his first sunglass collection for Spring/Summer 2012, as reported by Selectism. Consisting of a range of overall 4 silhouettes, each coming in several colors, the line is definitely looking interesting. We like both the shapes and the colors and accents used on the collection, which is for sure different from anything else on the market and rather unique, while still being wearable.

New York-based eyewear company CONTEGO has announced their collaboration with PAPER Magazine. The Kipling and the Morrison shades are seen in PAPER’s signature Orange and Pink pantone colors featuring CONTEGO’s umbrella and drop logo, with the original etched PAPER logo on each side of the frames. Available at select retailers including contegoeyewear.com and papermag.com with only 160 pairs of each up for grabs.

As part of their ‘Carpets and Rugs in Sports’ Collection, Australian brand P.A.M. has teamed up with Italian brand SUPER on two pairs of sunglasses. The capsule collection presents the ‘Lucia’ and ‘Ciccio’ shapes featuring P.A.M.’s signature touch of an all-over ‘Tapis’ (carpet) print and Zeiss gold mirrored lens. The two styles are exclusive to the P.A.M. flagship store in Sydney and their Someday store in Melbourne and a few select retailers around the globe.

Last week we announced the new parternship between Mykita and Moncler on sunglasses for Holiday 2011/2012. Now they have released a video, a homage to the mountains, for the release of the collection. Check it out.

Moncler has announced a partnership with Berlin based eyewear brand Mykita. Known for its highly technical and innovative approach. Mykita will only produced two models in collaboration with Moncler, each going on sale for only 6 months, priced at 730 USD.

“Dubbed Lino and Achille, the two models feature a swept-back frame edge. Achille, with its straight top line and broad frame is the more avant-garde model. Lino’s sweeping top line and slim frame is a modern version of glacier snow glasses.

The looks are available in black, red and blue — the latter two the colors of the first Moncler down coats in the early Sixties. The frames are fitted with mineral glass lenses from traditional Italian manufacturer Barberini.

All lenses reveal the Mykita & Moncler logo when breathed on, and feature an antifog finish on the inside of the lenses and an antiscratch outer coating. The glasses come with a padded sleeping bag style carry pouch in addition to a black case and box.” (Via WWD)

Italian eyewear brand SUPER presents their new range of sunglasses for Fall/Winter 2011. Continuing to explore Panama, the brand presents a series of well defined and characteristic silhouettes, headed by metal and acetate combined shapes.

Next to introducing several new silhouettes, including the Racer model, SUPER also releases great new variations of their classic, using new colors and prints to set accents. Overall the new collection is somewhat classic in comparison to their previous lines, yet perfectly suiting for the winter months. We love the new matte colors, the anchor prints and also the new silhouettes, that take a more sophisticated and grown-up approach.

Like we reported earlier here, Oakley presented a block party at The Lab in Costa Mesa this past week that included multiple events that ran simultaneously including the Thrasher Magazine 30 Year Anniversary exhibit as well as the Love & Guts Art Show. This time around we are giving you a look at a special all Oakley event that happened inside of BLENDS. A few things were going on in there: 1. a timeline showcasing stuff from original BMX grips, Razor Blades, MARS, Over the Tops and other design wonders from the brand; 2. a preview of 2012 releases including the unveiling of Dispatch II; and 3. a look at some apparel, goggles, outerwear and gloves. We had full access, so take a look at what we captured.

Once again Stussy and Original Fake present a series of collaborative sunglasses. The ‘Naomi’ and ‘Michael’ sunglasses both feature a transparent skeleton frame with signature Kaws ‘XX’ logos throughout and are now available at colette in either black or grey.

Italian eyewear brand SUPER gets together with the Cool Cats gang from Paris, run by Pedro Winter of Ed Banger Records, Ed Banger art director and artist So Me and Michael Dupouy from LaMJC.

Taking the design cue from the Cool Cats logo, the concept is to bring the cat’s (logo) sunglasses to life. SUPER worked with the Cool Cats design team led by So Me. The result is a hand-customized carnation of the much-loved W silhouette, the linear ‘retro-futuristic’ member of the SUPER family. The shades were meticulously hand-crafted, reproducing a life-size Cool Cats logo, achieved by skillfully inserting the silver stripe by hand one-by-one, thanks to the cooperation of the experts at Carl Zeiss. The arms feature delicate silver inscriptions and the Cool Cats logo is displayed on the outer arms, winking in the sunlight.

They come in shiny black and matte black and are available from SUPER and Cool Cats.
