We present the new range of men’s sunglasses from the Trussardi 1911 Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Always taking a bit of a different approach, we find the sunglass range of Trussardi especially interesting, as the Italian house tends to use different materials and colors, resulting in more innovative styles than what you are used to see from other brands in the high fashion market.

GPPR announces Frameworks, their inaugural foray into eyewear. The first Frameworks release is The Malcom, an eyewear frame inspired by none other than Malcom X. Crafted in Japan using hand molded Italian acetate with CR-39 lenses, these frames were created for “the reformed iconoclast, the contemptuous gentleman: the modern Renaissance Man.” These may be the frames that will complete your look.

Shwood has teamed up with Japanese retailer BEAMS on a limited run of Canby frames with clear, antireflective CR-39 Carl Zeiss lenses. Featuring a two-tone frame, the glasses are offered in Zebrawood/East Indian Rosewood and East Indian Rosewood/Maple wood combos. Also included is a wooden slider case, branded with a laser-engraved BEAMS logo. The collection is limited to 100 pairs of each colorway with a select few available through Shwood.

We also quickly met up with founder of SUPER sunglasses, Daniel Beckerman, to talk about their upcoming Spring 2012 offering. The brand seems to go from strength to strength, and once again presents exciting editions to their line this coming season.

Vintage Frames Shop has released an new pair of Ultra Goliath 2 glasses. For this launch they decided to produce a colorway dedicated to Montreal’s famous Snowdon Deli.

Populated by clothing industry moguls, the Snowdon Deli Breakfast Crew would become the base of inspiration for Corey’s fashion direction. The Ultra Goliath 2 “Snowdon Deli” Collection was conceptualized from Corey’s earliest eyewear memories being that of his grandfather and friends wearing Ultra Goliath 2 frames for a morning smoked meat gathering.

Our friend from BKRW worked with Oakley on a limited edition version of their iconic Frogskins sunglasses. The frame, which originally released in 1985, comes in two graphical versions, each limited to only 30 pairs. They will first be released through the BKRW Facebook online store and then later in the week also through their physical shop in Paris.

Swedish brand WeSC teams up again with Retrosuperfuture aka SUPER, on a series of sunglasses for Summer 2011. Based on their previous collaboration, the two brands present a new frame in overall three colorways for the new season.

“We revisited the confidently kooky MOOSE model, first released with WeSC last season, in three new color-ways: a glossy black; an upbeat light tortoise matte, and a subtle transparent grey. As always we have used only the finest of materials: top-notch acetate and Carl Zeiss lenses are guaranteed. For the first time FUCT will be introducing glasses and sunglasses as part of their upcoming Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Sticking to a rather classic look, the frames were handmade in Japan. The ‘riding’ glasses should be releasing in the coming months.

As a little helper for their Japanese friends, MYKITA is launching a special charity edition of the iconic FRANZ model, created in collaboration with fashion designer Bernhard Wilhelm.

Oakley has collaborated with Kicks Lab to release an exclusive version of its classic Frogskins style.
