Adidas Originals and David Z’s special make up designer Ronnie Fieg got together to create the Black Tie Project. With fashions heading into a dressy and clean era in recent months,they picked the Superstar to transform it into a black tie element. Photographer Jared Ryder underlines the dress factor by bringing out the suits to show the versatility of this luxurious sneaker.

For now we give you a couple of lookbook shots of the upcoming collaboration addias x David Z. Superstar “Black Tie” Project, but more is to come very soon.

As part of their skateboarding line, adidas made this Superstar Vulc. Aaron Horkey added some of his artwork to the sneaker and it also comes with some glow-in-the-dark elements. Via Complex.

We give you a complete look at the adidas Skateboarding Holiday 2008 collection. The line consists of two Superstar Skates, two Campus Vulcs, a Gazelle Skate and a Roster Mid. Colors are mostly dark with subtle accent colors. Along with the footwear line-up, adidas also presents a crewneck sweater and classic adidas Skateboarding t-shirt.

FTC has been an institution in the skate retail market for a long time now. Ever since opening their first retail outlet in Japan in 2007, the shop is making big steps towards becoming a full brand. Now they got together with adidas Skateboarding to work on a sneaker and apparel.

The shoe was designed by the FTC design team of Jovontae Turner and Graham James, they came up with a unique colorway that everyone can rock. FTC will be showing the shoe in Japan first to coincide with the adidas team riders’ apperance. Tim O’ Connor, Silas Baxter-Neal, Mr Busenitz, Lem Villemin, Benny Fairfax, Dave Bachinsky, Nestor Judkins and Vince Del Valle’s will all make an appearance in the Far Eastern wing of the FTC empire on October 10th. The collab shows off the new version of the Shelltoe silhouette which has plenty of details, including its use of colors and use of paneling, some real heat for the masses. Via Crooked Tongues/FTC.

The FTC x adidas Skateboarding Superstar will release in December. The FTC San Francisco shop will be preparing for their US shoe release in DEC as well. The collab includes the Superstars, a matching hoody and a tee. Hopefully we can show you soon.

Adidas Skateboarding will be dropping soon a pack of sneakers, consisting of 4 sneakers,which took its inspiration from the traditional setup of an American mall food-court. The orange-peel type Polson ST mimics slushy-mall hot spots, like Orange Julius, while the Supestar Vulc gives a nod to top-tier pizza joints like Sbarro. The pack will hit retailers this month. After previously already showing you a couple of pieces from the Adidas Skateboarding Summer ‘08 collection, we show you now their complete offering for this season.
In terms of footwear they present the Roster Mid, 2 Superstars, 2 Gazelles (one being designed by Mark Gonzales) and 2 Campus Vulc. Just like we are used the brand keeps it mostly basic in terms of design and does what they are known for.
We also preview the new Mark Gonzales hoodie that is part of the collection. That and the rest of the footwear after the jump.

We show you a great new initiative by Adidas – The Left Right Project. The Surface 2 Air New York office and Upper Playground each got to customize an oversized Superstar sneaker.

Adidas continues their Music Series and this time worked with Alligator Records. Alligator Records is an independent blues record label out of Chicago.
The pack consists of a Superstar, which of course features croc skin as well as the Alligator Records logo on the inner sole and lace lock. Furthermore the pack consists of a bowling shirt and a t-shirt.

On the market since over 35 years and it is still one of the strong sells by Adidas – the Superstar. This season the brand is pushing the shoe again and presents it in a large range of colors and patterns.

Adidas has now released a special collection entitled “Made For Japan”. The collection consists of their all-time classics – Country II, Superstar, Stan Smith and Stan Smith Comfort. Each model comes in a variety of colorways and in the original premium leathers.
