We are proud to present the new mini-film for Kid Cudi’s “Mr Rager” directed by Jeremie Rozan of Surface to Air Studio!

This week at his been announced that Paris brand and creative agency Surface To Air will be opening a new retail space in New York City. The space will be located at 27 Mercer Street and will open on September 8th, the day of the next Fashion’s Night Out.

Also the same day a new Kid Cudi video will be released, that was produced by Surface 2 Air, in which Cudi wears a leather jacket that he designed in collaboration with the Paris brand, seen here above on the image. The interior of the store will look much like their Paris flagship.

Parisian label Surface 2 Air gives us an early look at their Fall 2011 sneakers. Offered in over-dyed burgundy, navy or forest green, the shoes take on a somewhat worn or vintage look, while at the same time retaining a sense of quality and refinement through materials and shape. In their new Spring/Summer 2011 Collection French brand Surface 2 Air presents perforated leather boat shoes. The shoes come in white and brown leather, making sure that your feet keep a good temperature during the hot days of the coming summer.

After previously having worked Kings of Leon, Surface 2 Air has gotten together with artist Scott Campbell on a capsule collection of leather jackets.

“After the success of working with Justice and Kings of Leon, the S2A leather jacket has become a signature piece of Surface to Air. S2A has the pleasure to present to you two leather jackets customized by American
contemporary and tattoo artist Scott Campbell. The jackets are composed of leather applications covered in laser etched drawings. The applications are hand sewn using the famous “loop stitch” technique inspired by original Hells Angels members jacket. The jacket “Dead Fucks”, portrays funeral inspired drawings using classic Scott Campbell symbolism. The “Cobra Jacket” shows an extremely intricate drawing of cobra heads intertwined and covering the entire back.’

The jackets will be exclusively sold at colette from December 1st to 31st and are priced at 3500 Euros.

Today we get a better look at the collaboration between Asics and Parisian brand Surface 2 Air. Together they worked for Spring 2011 on the Gel DS Trainer 14.

“Resulting from the Surface to Air style-savvy and the Asics technologic expertise, the Gel DS trainer 14 is a sleek, lightweight structured sneaker that can be worn
for running or to stride along the streets. They are performance shoes for people who have a sense of esthetic but most importantly who practice sport more than talk about it. Inspired by radical lightening storms and the technical garments worn on Olympic swimmers, the shoe design is striking by the attention to its’ detail: the sneaker comes in an all black color way yet the different innovative materials used on the upper add a subtle graphic effect. Reflective piping & the Surface to Air logo are featured on the tongue, toe box and on a metal eyelet on the side-panels. A canvas shoe bag that can be worn as a backpack as well as a complimentary t-shirt are included with the pair of sneakers.”

The model will be released in honor of the Marathon de Paris on April 10th 2011.

Range Rover will be celebrating the addition of their latest model to their family later this week – the Range Rover Evoque. The beautiful new small scale 4×4 is targeted at a younger audience and therefore the brand has a special line-up of events and initiatives planned around the launch. While the car will be revealed in all its beauty to the plubic later this week in Paris, it will only see a market launch next year.

In Paris Range Rover worked with JC de Castelbajac, Andre, Yorgo Tloupas of Intersection Magazine and with Surface 2 Air. Each  of them got a wire frame sculpture of the Range Rover Evoque as a canvas and they had to add their very own flavor to it, around a certain topic.

Andre got the topic Design and added his signature pink graphics to the sculpture, which is exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo. Yorgo Tloupas worked on the Technology theme and thus imitated the wind channel with striped of light. His version of the sculpture is standing right in front of the Centre Pompidou. Surface to Air worked on the Sustainability theme and their work is exhibited at the Musee des Arts et Metires. Last but not least, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac worked on the Luxury theme, adding neon wings to the sculpture and you can find this last piece of the puzzle at the Yachts de Paris.

Parisian label Surface 2 Air offers an early look into the SS11 footwear offering. Showcased here are suede high top sneakers and mid cut boat shoes. Further leather and suede sneakers accompany perforated and printed boat shoes. We’re still feeling the Asics more though.
