To celebrate the release of their new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, Japanese brand Neighborhood has teamed up with Eno Surfboards. Together they present a series of custom surfboards, that came out beautiful. Neighborhood added great design to each board, ranging from typographic based graphics, skulls to camouflage patterns – not your usual surfboard design. Neighborhood stores in Japan will receive them on March 11, 2012. (Via honeyee)

The Lacoste LAB revives the tradition of innovation, an integral part of the brand’s DNA. Besides being a tennis champion, René Lacoste was also a great inventor and designer. In addition to the famous L.12.12 polo shirt he invented and designed for his own comfort and efficiency on court, he also created technical and revolutionary tennis rackets, balls, golf clubs and golf bags as well as the first ever tennis-ball throwing machine. The artifacts produced by the Lacoste LAB naturally build a bridge between the brand’s heritage and its future.

The Lacoste LAB projects the brand into the future and continues to give Lacoste a competitive edge. It prepares for tomorrow by identifying products which could potentially represent the future of the brand. ‘By seeking new materials and new designs, the LACOSTE LAB expands the ways in which Lacoste expresses itself and boldly takes the crocodile into fields which it has yet to venture’, explains Lacoste Design Director Christophe Pillet, who spearheads the LACOSTE LAB project.

As part of the Lacoste LAB Collection, the French brand collaborated with a series of global brands, each an expert in what they do. GPA Design produced a carbon fibre helmet, LOOK produced a bike, the surfboard was shaped by J.P. Stark and engineered by NOTOX, the skis are produced by Black Crows, the soccer and rugby balls are engineered by MITRE Sports out of Tensile fabric with embroidered crocodile logos and the boomerang is produced by 3B of thin birch plywood. The outcome is a beautiful collaborative collection, now in stock at colette.

Chandelier Creative gets together with Saturdays NYC and with Rick Malwitz. Together they present a series of limited edition asymmetrical surfboards. The outcome is a beautiful set, with each board featuring 4 colors. In fact the boards look so nice, that you just want to hang them on the wall, which might be the best thing to do anyways, since they go for 3′500 USD a piece.

Canadian brand Reigning Champ has teamed up with Kookbox Surfboards. Together they worked on some custom Reigning Champ hoodies with red Kookbox graphic embroideries and some beautiful custom surfboards.

“Kookbox Surfboards, which represents both New York and San Diego is a surfboard brand by none other than Southern California’s favorite son Joel Tudor. Kookbox represents the best of hand shaped and hand glassed Californian surfboards.

We had the privilege of working with Kookbox on a set of custom zip hoodies. 3 colorways in all, the hoodies were meticulously branded in Kookbox fashion. Their skull & daggers branding go so well with our tough Canadian heavyweight fleece.

The good people at Kookbox allowed us to get a few surfboards custom crafted with Wayne Levin’s iconic “Duck Dive” image. A true collaborative project of three representatives of hand made quality product in each of their respective crafts.”

Parisian graffiti artist André once again keeps himself busy these days. Just recently we reported about his collaboration with Incase as part of the Curated by Arkitip collection. Here we take a look now at a series of Quiksilver that the artist custom hand painted with his artwork. Overall he worked on 12 surfboard. For now it is now clear whether these will be sold, auctioned off or not come out at all. We will keep you posted.
