Today we get a first preview of an upcoming collaboration between French artist Fafi and Swiss watch brand Swatch. The black colorway, seen here above, features one of her signature characters. The watch looks great and we cannot wait to see the full collection.

Swiss fashion watch maker Swatch kicks off the new year with a pair of sports-inspired Gent Originals, the Olympic Games Collection – London 2012. Created with one eye on fashion and the other on the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games, these merge pro-sport aesthetics and classic London design. The designers have given a nod both to British fashion’s mod heritage and the London 2012 Olympic Games logo by means of a two-toned palette.

Swatch celebrates the Chinese Year of the Dragon with a limited Original Gent watch. The piece features an intricate Chinese dragon, drawn in blue on the white silicone strap, taking inspiration from classic blue and white porcelain artwork. Now available through Swatch.

The New Gent watch by Swatch has certainly gained a lot of popularity these last 2 seasons. In 2012 the watch returns in the ‘New Gent Lacquered’ series. A series of colors of the watch comes as part of the series, with the special feature being the open multicolor movement. Each layer of the movement received a different color treatment. Look out for a release in early 2012.

A while ago we presented the impressive collaboration between Kidrobot and Swatch on an artist driven collection of overall 8 watches and 8 matching Dunny toys. Today we present a cool stop motion video that was produced by Happycentro for Swatch on the project.

“Swatch has teamed up with Kidrobot, an art-driven toy and lifestyle brand, to create Kidrobot for Swatch, a collection of eight Gents, each accompanied by a complimentary Dunny. Dunny is Kidrobot’s iconic and highly collectible bunny-like vinyl toy, a customizable canvas for artists from widely varying backgrounds. Gary Baseman, Jeremyville, Frank Kozik, Joe Ledbetter, MAD, Tara McPherson, SSUR, and Tilt are the eight extraordinary artists who have contributed to the new collection, each with a characteristic design for a Gent and its accompanying 3-inch (7.6 cm) Dunny.

After a successful first line, Jeremy Scott continues to work with Swiss watch maker Swatch and presents his new Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. The new line includes 4 watches – several wrist watches with safari and other colorful designs, as well as a heart shaped pocket watch. As with all Scott designs, the watch designs are colorful and loud. Yet we have to admit, that some of these are pretty nice. Our favorites include the X-Ray Vision and the leopard pattern watches. We especially like that Swatch allows Scott complete creative freedom and that the watches go beyond simply adding some color to existing models. Look out for a release in the near future.

Renowned British photographer Rankin has teamed up with Swatch to release eight new watches as part of the ‘Swatch x Art’ collaboration.

The Gent Original styles have a face featuring the iris of an eye in various shades, and come with a black, white or clear strap. There’s also a special set complete with the five styles and limited and numbered packaging (777 editions in total).

Swatch presents two new interesting collaborations on their most iconic plastic watch. They worked with famed fashion photographer Rankin and with Japanese artist Hiroyuki Matsuura.

The British photographer chose an iris photo for his watch, which comes in three colorways. Matsuura only turned artist in 2005, after having worked as a graphic designer before. Today he works with several mediums, and chose to use two of his manga characters on the watches. All 5 watches are now available from colette (storeguide).

Overall the collection includes five Gent Original models with black and white print silicone straps and your choice of Pink, Yellow, Orange, Blue or Green fluorescent dials and transparent coloured cases. When it comes to these kinds of projects nobody can mess with Parisian concept store colette. Just a couple of weeks ago Nike presented its new French Away Team Kit, paying homage to the iconic white/navy striped pattern, made famous as well by designers such as Jean-Paul Gaultier. I think we can all agree that the jersey came out very nice.

With The Away Project, colette is celebrating the Away Kit by bringing on collaborators from all sorts of areas, presenting their product also with the “mariniere” striped pattern. Included in the line-up of collaborations is a watch with Swatch, pen with Montblanc, perfume with Comme des Garcons, bag with Longchamp and Chanel, scarf with Hermes, macarons with Laduree, cosmetics with YSL and more.

colette will setup a fully striped corner on their 1st floor on March 28th and the project runs until April 9th.

Next to his popular adidas Originals collaboration, it looks like Jeremy Scott will soon be releasing a small collection of watches with Swiss brand Swatch. The Jeremy Scott Watch Pack consists of a wings model, a lightning flash style and an arty frame model as well. An exact release date has not been announced yet, but we will of course keep you posted.

Swatch is releasing a new, super-sized version of their original classic Gent watch. The debut release comprises a number of toned down colors with simple styling – the tone on tone black and white being our favorites. A nice alternative to that brand that rhymes with Shmee-Shmock. Now on pre-order for a September 20, 2010 launch at colette.

For 2010 they got together with three designers to create a special artist series of watches. The line-up includes Gary Card, David Benedek and the all too familiar Carrie Munden from Cassette Playa.
