Some high fashion brands never make it into a bigger market, sometimes due to appeal other times simply due to price. It is usually a specific product that makes the brand more widely known, in the case of Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, the bold printed graphic t-shirts have been that item. With Rottweiler graphics and other graphic elements, the designer has attracted the masses and brought Givenchy back. At 180 to 300 Euros, the t-shirts are of course very expensive, yet much more affordable than anything else in the Givenchy collection.

Here we take a look what graphics the brand has waiting for you this coming Spring/Summer 2012 season. The main themes seem to be Pin-Up and Paradise Flowers. Especially the oversized tees are interesting and make that classic Givenchy statement. We like some of them, but are not sure they will have the same effect in store as the Rottweiler series from this season. What do you think?

Comme des Garcons PLAY has released the ‘Love Is Tender’ t-shirt series in celebration of Christmas 2011. As usual they keep it simple and mostly based around their heart logo graphic. Overall there are two designs, coming in several colorways for men, women and kids. The tees are exclusive to Dover Street Market.

Obey presents a remix of its iconic Obey Giant graphic for the Holiday season – the Santa Paste Holiday tee. Santa is pasting the Obey Giant mural himself this season. The t-shirt comes in a series of colorways and is now available from retailers.

Today the second part of the 10.Deep Holiday 2011 Collection has released. In terms of colors, the New York brand sticks mostly to bordeaux, black and grey in this part of the collection. Next to some nice shirts, pants and caps, the standout piece is the biker jacket. As usual some strong graphic t-shirts are also part of the drop.

Influential artist, designer and entrepreneur, Jeff Staple, brings his positive social contagion to the truth tobacco awareness campaign with the “truth 1585 Collection” of limited edition t-shirts. This week Original Fake will release the new Companion Snowman T-Shirt. Perfectly fitting the season, the t-shirt features the iconic Kaws Companion character building a snowman. The tee comes in a series of colors and will officially drop on December 10th, 2011.

In time for Christmas, Stussy has linked up with artist Todd James aka REAS on a limited edition t-shirt. The t-shirt read ‘Happy Holidays from the Stussy Crew’ and features a collage style graphic, created by the artist. A release is scheduled for December 3rd, 2011, at Stussy stores.

A while ago we reported that Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci had designed the tour t-shirts for Watch The Throne by Kanye West and Jay-Z. Today the tees finally arrived at RSVP Gallery in Chicago and are now also available online. Offered up are the Kanye and Jay-Z t-shirts, as well as the American flag graphic that Tisci had created for Otis.

Givenchy has certainly again made a strong name for itself ever since Riccardo Tisci took over, especially also with their strong graphic t-shirts. This week they have released an interesting dark bird graphic tee, exclusively for the Japanese market. The t-shirt comes in both white and black and is now in stock at Restir.

Initially produced for his Tokyo exhibition, we can give you a good look at the collaborative t-shirt by artists Eric Elms and Kaws today. Eric Elms’ Kilroy character meets the Companion character by Kaws for the tee. Surprisingly, the t-shirt is not produced under the Original Fake brand, but rather specifically for the exhibition and is also branded as such.
