Under the creative direction of Scott Cambell, Mama Tried Studios is a creative consultancy group focused on unorthodox approaches to visual media. They’ve worked with clients as big as Volkswagen, but also find time to develop unique product of their own. For example, tattooed furniture. The chair above is upholstered with hand tattooed leather. Tables are laser engraved. Pillows treated with laser etching. Mama Tried brings perhaps the most authentic tattoo aesthetic to furnishings.

Established in 2005, Black Claw is a small DIY label maintained by renowned tattoo artist Grime. All tees feature hand drawn graphics influenced by Grime’s interesting punk, skateboarding and tattooing. There are no seasons, and no backers. 
Grime owns Skull & Sword tattoo in San Francisco. He has toured with Don Ed Hardy as a painter. Recently he collaborated with Vans Syndicate on a series of 3 shoes.

All James Jarvis fans out there will be excited about the released of the Illustrated YOD toys. YOD has only recently been released and now comes in a remixed version in two new colorways, featuring tattoos all over. Both the toys and the new James Jarvis Book, “Selected Drawings”, are now available at Sold Out.

Horitaka, the only American apprentice, of the preeminent Japanese tattoo master Horioshi III, proudly presents a collaboration set of Nike SB shoes and apparel. Using shoes rather than skin, Horitaka continues the Japanese tattoo tradition of coded communication and tells the story of the four Guardians.
Originating in ancient China, the Japanese believe in four guardian animals, each representing a direction, season and color. The Genbu (Zoom Air Regime) is a black turtle combines with a snake. It represents the North as well as the winter season. The Seiryu (Zoom Tre), blue dragon, represents the east and spring season. Guarding the south is the Suzaku (Zoom Abington), a res phoenix-like bird. The Suzaku is aligned with the summer season. The Byakko (Classic SB), white tiger, guards the west and represents the fall season. 
Four guardians, four SB shoes, four colorways, released in four consecutive seasons, the story telling tradition continues.
For Fall the first release will be the Nike Classic SB. It comes along with a really nice, super detailed, satin baseball jacket. Check out detailed pictures after the jump and expect these to drop some time next month.
