686 has been around for over 15 years creating progressive technical apparel inspired directly from LA and mountain lifestyle roots. Years ago, 686 began collaborating with companies to create a collection called TIMES, where the collaboration is the invention of a new product.
To help celebrate the 15^th Crystal Anniversary, 686 teamed up with New Era to create a collection of products that combine street style and technical function for something truly unique.  The limited edition line of outerwear features the first waterproof and breathable 59FIFTY cap that conveniently attaches to the hood of the jackets.
Taking style cues from both current and historical urban influences, the TIMES collection features an exclusive 686 vintage baseball woven jacquard and printed fabrications, along with custom New Era 59FIFTY accented trims and linings.  The coordinating pants, with their custom New Era key chain accessory, complete the ensemble for any true rider and tastemaker.

Honeyee presents the latest collection by Dr. Romanelli – Surgical Strike. Once again they got together with Sophnet’s F.C.R.B. to collaborate on a couple of pieces. In this collection they used as usual a lot of leather but unlike previous collections, this one is much more technical. Especially the hooded camouflage jacket has lots of technical features. This latest release is one of our favorite from Dr. Romanelli to date. Hopefully they will do more in this direction. Here modeled by Lupe Fiasco.

Japanese brand hobo got together with mountain supply company Arai Tent to make some technical backpacks. The outcome are some classic, lightweight, technical backpacks in several colorways. Hobo is a brand known for their leather gods, luggage, accessories, etc.
If you analyze the Japanese way of collaborating it really always goes after the same pattern. A creative rather small brand chooses a large brand that is well known for a certain product type. Instead of trying to do something as good and failing, they work with market leaders right from the start, and re-interpretate their classics. The other type of collaboration is simply teaming up with befriended brands. Both scenarios make totally sense.
Anyways, the new Arai Tent x hobo backbacks will be available in the Honeyee store.

Burton will be coming out with a Gore-Tex denim pack this Fall. The Authentic Denim Jacket and Authentic Denim pants come with washed denim and a red gore-tex inner lining. They also come with all sorts of other technical features – the jacket with a detachable hood and the pants with zippers and buttons to wear in differnt ways. From the pictures we cannot really say that we like the look of this pack, but technically its definitely interesting and maybe it looks worn better than here on the pics.
