Inspired by street football, a pair of black and orange Tennis Classics are adorned with hand-drawn artwork from artist Don Torelli, while a series of t-shirts done by several other Brazilian artists (Jurubis, SHN, Derlon) rounds out the release. Sticking with the tennis classic pearl white leather upper, Nike goes very Stan Smith on us with lucky green accents and a perforated swoosh. We’re not mad at it.. besides the two-tone laces. The Tennis Classic returns as part of the Nike Fall 2009 Collection in two strong colorways. The uppers come in black and white premium leathers and accents in neon yellow on the white and red on the black one. We have always been fans of this simple silhouette and like the combination of solid uppers and popping accents.

The Nike Tennis Classic Vintage from the Spring/Summer 2009 collection has just been released. Here we give you now a first look at the Tennis Classic VIntage from the Fall 2009 collection. The sneaker comes in white with neon yellow accents and in black with red accents. We love the simplicity of the sneaker in general and the color combinations on these definitely work well. Something to be looking out for!

Nike Sportswear Brazil presents a new pack of sneakers, named after the nickname of the Brazilian national soccer team – Canarinho. Soccer is also the theme of the pack. Including the Blazer Hi, Dunk Lo and the Tennis Classic, the pack was developed in collaboration with three Brazilian artists, who each designed a sneaker and a matching t-shirt. The artist line-up includes Pedro Jurubis, Presto and Don Torelly.

The Nike Sportswear “Canarinho” Pack will be released in Brazil on May 25th. Take a detailed look at all three sneakers and the matching t-shirts after the jump.

After previously releasing the white/blue and white/red colorways, the Nike Tennis Classic Vintage also comes this season in white/green. The perfect summer sneaker, light, subtle and easily matchable. These are now available from Atmos.

The much anticipated collaboration between uniform experiment and Nike on the Zoom Tennis Classic is about to drop. The sneaker comes in a white/black and all navy colorways. Both feature an embossed Swoosh, as well as a uniform experiment and a fragment Design logo on the heel. Look out for the release this weekend.

As the Tennis Classic by Nike celebrates a bit of a revival in recent seasons, we have certainly learned to love again the simplicity of the sneaker.
