diadora borg elite trainers - highsnobiety
Diadora first presented the Borg Elite Trainers in 1981. Since then the shoe is cult in tennis. Forget all the other tennis sneakers out there, this is the real thing, it does not get any more classic.
Oki-Ni has them now in stock in two colorways. More pics after the jump.

adidas Rod Laver Vintage ‘Tournament Edition’

adidas rod laver tournament edition - highsnobiety
Australian tennis champ Rodney George ‘Rod’ Laver’s 1970 signature model has been a summer staple for casuals, b-boys and connoisseurs alike in one form or another since its debut. As part of the forthcoming Tournament range by adidas, this low profile silhouette retains the minimal branding that makes it such a timeless design, but offers a more resilient full-grain leather upper for a premium feel. An all-white midsole, green detailing for authentic court styling and laser etched tongue logo finishes a very limited package that’s easily as iconic as the other four shoes in the pack.
Have a close look at a series of pictures after the jump.

Blast From The Past – Airwalk “Jim” Trio

RTEmagicC airwalk.jpg Blast From The Past Airwalk Jim Trio
The year was 1994 and Airwalk had an instant hit with the “Jim” trio. In true irreverent skate fashion, the “Jim” styles poked fun at more traditional sports, with a hi-top made from goosepimpled basketball rubber, a fuzzy low style fashioned from tennis-ball fabric, and a golf-inspired style (not pictured) with a dimpled toe. Though these styles have been relegated to the archives, there are still some pairs in existence, that Airwalk has released now. Look out for them and worst case scenario, you will have to look on eBay.

RTEmagicC lacoste aug07 1.jpg Lacoste Stealth Fall 07 Preview
Here we present you part of the first drop of the Lacoste Stealth Fall 2007 collection. Under the roof of the Stealth collection Lacoste has already brought out many strong sneakers and translated very successfully their classic tennis silhouettes into lifestyle sneakers. The Sneaker Freaker collaboration also pushed the brand a lot into the high end sneaker market. Here you will see now the latest Missouri 85 styles and Revan 3 styles that will be hitting shelves in the next couple of weeks.
The Missouri 85, was a high performance tennis shoe, and one of the first by Lacoste for all-terrain. Seen on both hard and clay courts in the mid 80’s, they now release it in a premium leather and suede mix, featuring embossed pique detail on the vamp and collar. For Fall ‘07 they release four new styles of the Missouri 85 in nice colorways.
The Revan 3 gets a contemporary make-over this season. The woven fabric on the tongue and vamp,  with discreet crocodile  heel branding  and signature  blanket stitch  detail makes a great looking sneaker. This season in  four new colorways.
Check out all the new Missouri 85 and Revan 3 releases after the jump.
