Mark “The Cobra Snake” Hunter just shot a really nice new Summer 2012 lookbook for the women’s brand Wildfox. We’ve seen quite a bit of the lookbook’s star, Charlotte Free, as of late, but we are not complaining. The lovely pink-haired beauty was recently seen in the latest adidas lookbook, which we showed you here. For this campaign, Wildfox went with a mermaid theme, which the embellish upon here:

We all wish we were part of a fairy tale, some magical creature in some great love story.
A little mermaid with pearls in her long pink hair gliding through the warm salty water, in love with some beautiful sailor who she sees on a ship, handsome brown eyes and a different world. Our lives are more similar to fairy tales than we think, and everywhere around us there is magic. White sand that glitters in the sun and gets stuck like diamonds to your skin, sugarcane fields under the clouds that taste sweet in the rain, running barefoot on the hot pavement to meet a boy in town, long days of summer where the moon comes out along with the sun.

Wildfox Summer collection is to be pulled on over a bikini, drying off from the water on a tropical island, sunkissed shoulders and smelling of sunscreen & coconut oil. It is for little mermaids everywhere who belive in their own fairy tale coming true.

“Mark Hunter is a true Hollywood kid. Born and raised in a place that most people only know from the movies. Working as an assistant to Shepard Fairey gave him access to the parties of these people at a time when digital photography became accessible to everyone but before most people understood the possibilities this new gadget harbored.

Meanwhile The Cobrasnake has developed into its own brand and it’s not only about pictures but also about a certain style. „I was always complemented by my clothes and people would email me and be like ’oh, that’s such a cool t-shirt, where did you get that thing’ and then we started to sell it.”

In an interesting, yet matching partnership, party photographer Cobra Snake has linked up with iconic British brand BOY London on a small t-shirt collection. Presented are t-shirts and tank tops, reading BOY London on one side and The Cobra Snake on the other. The t-shirts all come in black and white and are now available from colette.

We reported last week about the opening of the new The Cobra Snake Pawn Shop in Los Angeles. The doors opened last night and today we can give you a little recap of the opening festivities. Shepard Fairey, The Selby, Jeremy Scott, of course The Cobra Snake and many others attended the event. Make sure to pass by on your next LA trip, to check out all the vintage fiends of the photographer.

This limited edition The Selby Book will include 3 new exclusive chapters of photos of The Cobrasnake, The Grandmasnake and The Grandpasnake in their homes and will come with a special tote bag, poster and stickers. There will be a book signing during this event where Todd Selby, Mark Hunter, Grandmasnake and Grandpasnake will be available to sign The Selby Book special edition.

As mentioned previously, the launch party takes place on June 8th (tonight) from 6pm – 9pm. The party will be hosted by Jeremy Scott with DJ sets by Shepard Fairey and Ana Calderon as well as a live performance by Beardo.

In an interesting move, photographer The Cobra Snake will be opening his first retail space in Los Angeles next week – the Pawn Shop. Aside from a Jeremy Scott hosted opening party and an exclusive The Selby Book release, you will be able to find lots of great vintage product, art and more in the new store.

After having worked with RVCA already on several t-shirt collaborations, the brand and The Cobra Snake present for Summer 2010 an entire capsule collection. The line consists of t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, pants, caps and socks and will be released later this year.

As a party photographer The Cobra Snake has made quite the name for himself. In the mean time he also exhibits his work around the globe with the most recent exhibition having taken place at Colette.
Also regular t-shirt collaborations with RVCA have become very popular. Now he released a new stocker set, that is available though Sold Out.
