Michael Lau worked with MINDstyle to produce another set of toys inspired by The Godfather and officially licensed by Paramount. The Godfather original version 2.0 is featured in a white marionette version and is limited to 300 pieces worldwide. It will be available for the first time to fans and collectors in Asia and Europe. The Godfather Classic version is a seated interpretation of the Don and is limited to only 500 pieces. Both styles are slated for a 4th quarter release worldwide.

MINDstyle International is pleased to announce a licensing agreement with Paramount Licensing, Inc., and the launch of their new art toy collectibles (ATC) line with The Godfather. Fans of the masterpiece will have an entirely new medium and interpretation because of the art toy product category. We had shown you several previews of the toy and finally we can show you the creation of the infamous film character by Michael Lau.

The Original version (with marionette) will be packaged in a special limited edition collectors box and launch at the “Family Tradition” art exhibition curated by Ron English in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 19th at De la Barracuda and San Diego Comic Con (MINDstyle Booth #4545). In addition, two alternate color ways of the OG version will be available in limited edition from selected retailers.

Michael Lau masterminded the style and approach with MINDstyle to produce the art toy figure inspired by the film classic. MINDstyle will next follow-up with the release of a Classic version figure and a Secret version figure by Michael Lau. Both products are scheduled to reach store shelves in fall, 2009 worldwide.

One of the most acclaimed movies of all time leading character is re-defined through the vision of vinyl pioneer, Michael Lau and proudly produced by MINDstyle newly launched ART TOY COLLECTIBLES line. The 8 inch tall (Original) marionette version vinyl figure will be released this July in limited edition with special packaging. Stayed tuned for updates and the work in progress!

Bape will soon be releasing yet another The Godfather collaboration t-shirt and once again the t-shirt is decorated with a Marlon Brando photo print. It looks very similar to the last release, but is different.
Just like the first time around, it comes in a packaged in a champaign bottle.
