Alife once again worked with Timberland on a collaborative boot. This time they chose to work on the 40 Below boot. ALIFE’s version of this early 90s New York classic boot features premium leather upper from one of the first and last great American tanneries: the Chicago-based HORWEEN Leather Company. Established in 1905 and known as the country’s best leather tannery, Horween ships leather to the world’s finest shoemakers and is the leather supplier to the NFL and NBA for the manufacture of professional footballs and basketballs.

In addition, just like the 90’s version of the boot, ALIFE’s 40 Below features a Vibram outsole—not available on any other 40 Below on the market. Founded in 1935, Vibram is credited for producing the first ever rubber outsole with a thread designed specifically mountaineering.

In short: A classic New York City boot, made of the best materials available, with ALIFE’s stamp of approval. The boots will be released at Alife New York and TheUpset this coming Friday, November 6th.

Japanese retailer Kinetics worked with DJ Muro on a series of product. The collaborative collection consists of a Timberland 7 Eyelet Boot, New Era Ear Flap Cap, as well as a hoodie and a longsleeve t-shirt. All pieces of the collection feature heavy plaid patterns, including the Timberland boot. The collection will be released on November 7th.

After the Stussy NYC Chapter already worked with Timberland on some boots to celebrate the new opening, Stussy has worked again with the footwear brand, this time the 7-eye Chukka. It comes in a brown colorway with Stussy logo placement on the tongue and will be released on October 23rd.

Concepts will be launching their first project under their military inspired “Concepts Operations” line on Friday, October 23rd, 2009. The first drop from the Con-Ops Collection will be a 6″ Timberland Field Boot which is inspired by covert military apparel utilizing all black technical materials. The boot construction includes “Ever-Guard” leather, the state-of-the-art cut-resistant material SuperFabric® on panels, abrasion-resistant rubber coated toe, Gore-Tex waterproof lining, and an outsole which is made with “Timberland Pro Rubber” that is puncture-resistant. Accompanying the boot release will be a Con-Ops x Mitchell & Ness knit winter cap, fitted cap and tee shirt, in 2 colors, which will be released in limited numbers.

Previewed this morning, we now have a detailed look into Opening Ceremony’s exclusive Timberland collection. Two different Timberland styles were customized. The first is the Convenience Boot; a spin on Timberland’s familiar 6-Inch Boot featuring an elastic lacing. The second style is the moccasin 7-eye ankle boot in custom burnished leather (pictured in wheat). Each pair is available in two different colorways and comes with two sets of interchangeable laces. A custom leather OC x Timberland hang tag was also produced.

Opening Ceremony is now offering a two day pre-sale on these boots. All pre-orders must be placed by Thursday, October 15th. The collection will be in stores Monday, October 19th. For more info visit openingceremony.us.

Today we get a first look at the upcoming Opening Ceremony x Timberland Collaboration. With the boot maker the NYC store worked on several boots. The Timberland classics have been infused with elastic laces, giving them an interesting new look.

The Timberland Company partners with Grammy Award-winning musician Wyclef Jean on the Yele Haiti Earthkeepers collection. The collection consists of several different pairs of boots each made from recycled and organic materials. This new alliance is grounded in a shared commitment to the environment and a passion for improving communities throughout the world – $2 per pair will go to Wyclef’s Yele Haiti Foundation to support reforestation in Haiti. Launches late November. A good looking boot for a good cause.

From the fabric to the color of each and every section of the boot, down to the eyelets, everything on the boots is customizable. The experience is capped off with the option to personalize each design further by getting initials or any 3 letters stitched on the tongue, heel and tag.

For Fall 2009, Timberland brings back one of their all time classics, the 8” Wheat Construction Boot. This timeless staple was a favorite of many hip-hop legends in the early 90’s with the likes of Jay Z, Notorious BIG and Nas all seen rocking the high top boots. A new premium version of the iconic Timberland 6″ Boot has been released. They’re crafted in premium waterproof leather with a seam-sealed construction to keep your feet dry, whatever the elements throw at you. Other nice details include a padded ankle collar and the Taslan fibre laces. The boots come in black, navy/brown and in brown/khaki and are now available from colette.
