We take a closer look at the Timex Weekender Watch Collection, a great set of simple military inspired watches with canvas straps. Not only can you never go wrong with such a watch, the pricing is just incredible. Ranging from 30-50 USD, these are hard to beat and also make for a great gift.

Swagger gets together with Timex to produce a black military watch for their 12th anniversary. Aside from the Roman 12 that is printed on the watch glass, the watch also comes with black and red straps. The watch will release in stores this week.

Continuing to work on special product for its 35th anniversary, Beams presents a collaboration with Timex. The Retro Camper comes in metal with two canvas NATO straps. Aside from the Beams logo placement on the dial, the ‘7′ has been exchanged with the ‘35′. The watch comes in a white and a black dial version, each coming with two straps to change it up a little. A release is set for September 2011.

In time for the summer, Timex has released their new Bright Campers Collection. The Timex Camper watch, one of their most classic and most beloved models comes in refreshing new colorways, including blue, orange, pink and yellow. All four watches are now available in the Timex online store.

Timex has teamed up with Maiden Noir on a Military Watch for Spring/Summer 2011. They chose to use the Timex Expedition in a metal case with black dial. Maiden Noir contributed two canvas straps to the watch, coming in black and military green. The watch comes nicely wrapped in custom packaging for this collaboration. The watch is now available from Stless.

While Timex 80 made its waves in the last couple of seasons with colorful new editions of classics, its the classic Timex brand which became in our mind even more interesting again. Especially their timeless Camper model is celebrating a strong comeback, which makes sense when considering the overall hertiage brand comeback.

The Timex Big Camper is a new oversized limited edition version of the watch and it looks beautiful. It comes in black and army green and features matching canvas straps. It is now available from Adam et Rope.

As the trend towards simplistic, fabric strapped watches continues on, we look to Timex for a piece that works well. Black strap, brown leather accents and a white face – it doesn’t get much easier. We found this at Japanese boutique vendor, but you can probably find something similar at your local department store for under $40.
