James Jarvis’ Amos Toys will be releasing the second Wood Yod this coming weekend. Done in collaboration with Landscape Products, this figure is crafted out of natural beech and walnut wood giving a beautiful texture and look. These are extremely limited, 50 pieces to be exact, so be sure to react lighting quick come release day. These will be available through the Amos web store.

In time for Christmas CLOT gets together once again with Medicom Toy and presents two new fruity toys. As part of this release they present the Melon and Pineapple 1000% Bearbricks. Priced at 410 USD a piece, the Juice Hong Kong store will be releasing the toys on December 16th, 2011.

Round Square and Salão Coboi worked together on these interesting limited edition sculptures. When we say interesting, we mean it in a sense that these little abstract characters are decked out in some higher-end designer apparel from this Autumn/Winter 2011 season. The four polymer clay clothing donned by the figures include pieces inspired by this season’s collections by Raf Simons, Philip Lim, Jil Sander, Givenchy, Alexander Wang, Maison Martin Margiela and others. Being that Por Vocacao stocks some of these labels, the retailer picked up on these pieces and they’re available now via their online shop.

After Terry Richardson, Uncle York presents their newest toy – the Spiketoy. Of course it is none other than Spike Lee, the iconic American flim director, producer, writer and actor. The Spiketoy comes in black/white and in color. Iconic details include the ‘MARS’ necklace, the cap and of course the Jordans. For the occasion of the Bearbrick World Wide Tour 2, Medicom has teamed up with Nike. They produced two Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, featuring faux fur uppers, imitating the iconic Bearbrick toy of the Japanese brand. The sneaker comes in both brown and black versions, with the Bearbrick logo placed on the tongue. The collaborative sneakers will release on December 3rd, 2011. “After I blow a hole in somebody and slip around on their guts… afterwards, I like to make balloon animals.” – Steve Martin in Parenthood. Random, we know, but that came to mind upon seeing these Pop! Super Shiny 3-inch Mini Series toys from Kidrobot. They take the shape of little animals made out of balloons like you would get at a kid’s party, but shinier and doper. These are available now from Kidrobot.

Medicom teams up with fragment design on their iconic Bearbrick toy. Together they present the 50% Panda Bearbrick, featuring the fragment logo in the back. It comes in two colorways and will be released through Traverse Tokyo on December 1st, 2011.

From December 3rd until December 12th, Medicom will be hosting their second Bearbrick World Wide Tour. Hosted at Shibuya Parco in Tokyo, the toy maker has worked with numerous designers and brand to showcase special designs of their iconic Bearbrick toy.

Large 1000% and 400% Bearbricks entirely made out of wood, in collaboration with fragment design, Stussy, A Bathing Ape, Mickey Mouse, TokiDoki and others will be on display at the show. The Hiroshi Fujiwara designed fragment version is certainly among the most interesting, next to the 1000% all wooden version, which can only cost a small fortune. The 200% metal Baby Milo toy together with A Bathing Ape is also nice.

A collaboration between BlackRainbow and Artoyz Originals, they have teamed up with legendary graffiti artist Jonone to produce the FLOP vinyl sculpture. The two 15-inch editions of the clear sculpture, are each limited to 100 pieces, come nicely packaged in a clear box for dispplay purposes and are priced at 250 Euros. You can pre-order the sculpture now from Artoyz.

Jonone’s next exhibition, Throw Up, will open at BlackRainbow Paris on November 25th, 2011.

Medicom gets together with Disney to produce a series of Bearbrick toys, all dressed in Christmas themes. The Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy, Goofy, Winnie The Pooh and other Santa versions will all go into a special lottery in Japanese convenience and electronics stores nationwide. The official launch is today, November 14th, 2011.
