Following the “Bo Knows” Trainer 1, we now have a look at the corresponding “Mac Knows” style from Nike. Inspired by tennis bad boy turned commentator John McEnroe, the inside of the tongue features a “Mac Knows” tag, stemming from McEnroe’s appearance in the infamous “Bo Knows” commercials. The grey and black upper is accented by hits of chlorophyll, while a stitched tennis player silhouette and a tennis ball design on the insole complete the package. Here comes a detailed look at the Nike Trainer 1 “Bo Knows”. The Trainer 1 is one of several ‘09 releases for Bo Jackson. It has some signature Bo elements including Raider’s silver and black, a “Bo Knows” tag on the tongue and insole, and a pixelated Bo Jackson baseball figure also on the insole. The figure is reminiscent of the Tecmo Bo found on the Air Trainer II LE released in July of ‘09. The upper is predominantly black with some silver piecing near the toe. There is also silver stitching encircling the Swoosh and making up the Nike logo on the heel. The midsole is grey cement, with some black elephant print around the collar. The sneaker will be released this month at premium retailers, including the House of Hoops.

An exciting pack, uniting the old and the new, will be released at selected Nike Sportswear retailers tomorrow – the Air Trainer Legacy Pack.

“Two pairs of shoes representing the birth and rebirth of Nike Training. The Air Trainer and the Trainer 1: Separated by over two decades of technical innovation, united by a common DNA that is unmistakable. One genuine piece of Nike Training history, the other, Nike Training history in the making. Both together. But not for long.”

The sneaker both come in the same design, one in the classic look, the other one packed with new innovative features, while staying in line with the old silhouette. The pack will be released at Nikestore, Niketown, Eastbay and Undefeated (LA, SM) on June 18th.
