The insulated Walden Boot from Treton looks great for the transitional season between summer and fall, or fall and winter. The boot feature a leather upper with suede trim, speed lacing details and Tretorn’s signature rubber sole. These will be available through Tretorn on August 22, 2011.

Our Boston bureau brings some good local news, and with it a special Tretorn Galosh make-up.

“There’s a new outdoor/wilderness shop in Boston – not too far from the Bolyston Apple Store. The same Tannery which has inhabited Harvard Sq. for the last few decades, selling shoes and outdoor gear, expands on the latter with the Tannery Wilderness Workshop – a full sized outdoor shop in Back Bay that carries many brands also found in their Cambridge location.

It would seem they have been working on some special make-ups for the new market; starting off with this Golash with Tretorn. It’s a standard galosh finished the flat traditional look making them perfect for the guys. The pull tag on the back accents the overall look nicely. I think I need them – then again maybe Jason does.”

First sneakers from the Tretorn x Comme des Garcons Spring 2010 collaboration have been released. So far they have come out a navy canvas low top sneaker with a green foxing band and white sole. Simple in the best way possible. “I think one of the items I think about during spring/summer are a pair of simple canvas sneakers you can bum around in – I love these classic, low-profile canvas sneakers from two iconic brands.” – Eddy Chai, Owner of Odin. Announced earlier this year, first sneakers from the Tretorn x Comme des Garcons collaboration have been released. So far they have come out with black and grey, low and high top Polka Dot sneakers. They used the classic Tretorn canvas styles as a base. The outcome is nothing impressive, yet also nothing that you can go wrong with. The sneakers are now available from Farfetch.

Tretorn has some nice tumbled leather, rubber-toed boot height sneakers that combine workboot styling (metal hardware and wool blend lining) with Tretorn’s heritage tennis flexibility. Rugged sole and ample ankle support ensure functionality. Each pair also comes equipped with two pairs of laces for two distinctive looks. “Try the brown out for hunting boot style. Try the black out for a more severe military feel. The red works gives you the alpine hiker vibe.” Comes in Phantom Black or Coffee Bean Brown. As part of their Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, Tretorn presents a series of Gore-Tex sneakers. The T56 Mid and the T56 Low both come in several colorways with Gore-Tex uppers. We like that the sneakers keep their subtle looks, yet have some great technical features, making sure that your feet stay warm and dry this winter. The Tretorn Gore-Tex sneakers are now available from Sneakersnstuff.

In 1891 the first rubber footwear products left the original Tretorn factory also known as Helsingborgs Gummifabrik. As a brand Tretorn was registered in 1911. If you didn’t know the name Tretorn is Swedish for Three Towers refering to the original factory’s three towers and from what we know Tretorn invented the tennis ball. Tretorn also proudly carries a Royal Warrant, appointed by Hans Majestät Konungen, the King of Sweden.

Two years in the making, Sneakersnstuff can now finally show you the result. The Tretorn Tournament tennis shoe from 1956 gets the Sneakersnstuff treatment. Swedish brand Tretorn® and Comme Des Garcon SHIRT have teamed up for a pack of limited edition footwear launching later year as part of Comme Des Garcon SHIRT’s Fall collection. We already showed you some images earlier this week, here now a more detailed look. Tretorn’s classic Nylite, T-56 and T-56 Mid styles have all been outfitted with black graphic text inspired by Comme Des Garcon SHIRT’s upcoming line. In recent season’s Tretorn has collaborated with Opening Ceremony and Acne Jeans and the brand also opened their first stand alone retail store last July in New York.

An interesting collaboration is coming up later this year between Swedish sneaker brand Tretorn and Comme Des Garcons Shirt. They worked on a high top and a low top sneaker, both featuring a white canvas upper and a black printed design. The collaborative effort is mentioned on the inner sole. After Acne, Tretorn manages to score yet another high profile collaboration partner.

Acne continues to work with Tretorn on a collection of sneakers as part of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. The two Swedish brands have worked together for several seasons already.

This season they worked once again on the Stroll. The Stroll High comes in overall three colorways and the Stroll Low comes in white canvas. Furthermore they also continue to work on the Nylite. It comes in two colorways in the high version and in navy blue as a new silhouette.
