In an inspired marketing effort, Tretorn is hitting the streets of New York with their custom built Wellie Wagon. A collaborative effort with the Greenwich Village Shop Hus, the wagon will be out and about the next two Saturdays selling wellies, sneakers, accessories and apparel. Check the wagon out at Christopher Park this weekend, April 26, and at the Bleeker Street Playground next week, May 3.
This approach is far more personal than Onisuka Tiger trainer vending machines we reported previously. Must say it is nice to see some brands taking a fresh approach to retail.

Once again Acne Jeans and Tretorn get together to collaborate on sneakers. As part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection they present the Nylite Mid. The mid top sneaker comes in three colorways – light brown, off white and black. The light brown and off white colorways come with a white sole and black one with a gum sole.

Iconic NYC boutique/brand Opening Ceremony has collaborated with Swedish sneaker brand Tretorn. The Swedish brand is celebrating a small comeback lately also due to earlier collaborations with Acne Jeans and others. The Opening Ceremony x Tretorn collection consists of several sneakers, with the shape based on a vintage Tretorn design from the fifties, streamlining the profile slightly to give them a more contemporary feel. They are offering three styles coming with plaid/check patterns on the upper.

The collection will release still this month at both Opening Ceremony NYC and LA and the sneakers go for 80 USD.

Swedish sneaker brand Tretorn, that now belongs to Puma, continues their collaboration with ACNE Jeans, which has become one of the strongest high-end denim brands and fashion brands out of Sweden over the past couple of years. As part of the Autumn/Winter 2007 collection of ACNE Jeans, they worked on the Tretorn Stroll High and released it in two colorways – black and burgundy. The sneaker features a water resistant material on the upper and a classic pattern as the inner lining. The upper and the sole are tonal, which looks nice.
