Triumvir Qing Marauder Street Team Collection

triumvir qing marauders collection - highsnobiety
Triumvir has recently recruited a street team to represent the brand on the streets around the globe. In tribute to the street team, we’ve made an exclusive shirt and hoodie strictly for the established Qing Marauders members. Apparently there is some kind of a point system and depending on your points you get promoted into the Qing Marauders section, in which case you also get these special pieces of the collection. It all sounds very complicated, and almost a little ridiculous. But since the pieces look good and are among the strongest we have seen from Triumvir this year, we wanted to give you a look at it. If you want to get your hands on it, you better talk to Triumvir about how exactly that point system works.
More pics after the jump.

Triumvir Spring ‘08 Preview – Broken Halos

12 February 2008, 22.52 | Posted in Caps & Hats, Fashion | No comments »

RTEmagicC triumvir estate 1.jpg Triumvir Spring 08 Preview Broken Halos
The concept of Broken Halo was derived from the political history of what was once the Anaheim Angels of Orange County, who are also known as “The Halos”. The baseball team has gone through several name changes in its history, first changing it to the California Angels in 1965. The Disney Company took control in 1997, and extensively renovated the Angel Stadium while stating that both the stadium’s name and the team’s name contain the word “Anaheim” in it- making it known that it was absolutely imperative that everyone knew where the roots and history of the team came from.  Hence, the team became known and loved as the Anaheim Angels.
In 2005, new owner Arte Moreno wanted to tap into the Los Angeles media market by changing the Anaheim Angels into the Los Angeles Angels. This obviously didn’t sit very well with the city of Anaheim or the team fanatics.  With a standing agreement (Disney’s deal & conditions), the city of Anaheim and Angels fans backed their roots and demanded that “Anaheim” was kept in the team name as well as the stadium name as promised in 1997. Meeting the city’s demands half-way, the team name was changed to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The city, the fans and even the Los Angeles Dodgers vehemently disputed the change but the name stood and sadly, still stands today.
There’s nothing more tragic than seeing a legendary entity lose its roots on grounds to gain media and money. The Angels sold their soul to the Devil. They are the fallen angels; the Broken Halos.
Triumvir is telling that story with the Broken Halos Spring 2008 release, which consists of both t-shirts and a fitted cap collaboration with Estate LA.

Triumvir Spring ‘08 Collection Preview

01 February 2008, 20.10 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

RTEmagicC triumvir spr08 2.jpg Triumvir Spring 08 Collection Preview
We give you a first look at two key pieces of the upcoming Triumvir Spring 2008 collection, which will be released in March – the Clansman Parka and “Used and Abused” t-shirts.
The Clansman Parka is a lightweight cotton twill hooded jacket that features a similar construction to that of a snowboarding jacket, intended for daily wear in spring.
The message behind the “Used and Abused” t-shirt is that, concepts and images have been flipped and re-appropriated over and over again to a point where creativity has been lost until it just becomes Used and Abused.
The inspiration behind this piece was taken from the artwork of Barbara Kruger, who is known for “her trademark black letters against a slash of red background…much of her text questions the viewer about feminism, classics, consumerism, and individual autonomy and desire.”
Check out the Clansman Parka after the jump.
