BMW Italia and Trussardi have created a limited edition of the 5 Series Gran Turismo to mark the fashion house’s centennial.

“Elegant, understated, and at the same time sensual and attractive, the BMW 5 Series Trussardi was inspired by the world of leather and gloves, which characterized the origins of the brand.For the new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo, built in a limited edition and designed by the Trussardi style office,the emphasis was on new exterior details and new and luxurious interior finishings. For the exterior look, the choice fell on an exclusive color – a characteristic warm metallic brown that has been named Heraldic Brown. The paintwork is executed in three layers and the color of the body changes gradation with varying exposition to light.Several elements, such as the front grill,the rear strip and the shadow-line are in the same color as the body, while the strip in the front air intake is dark grey matt. The 20-inch double-spoke alloy wheels, no. 316, which mount 245/40 tires in the front and 275/35 in the back,have been burnished to blend in with the unique look of the car. The Trussardi logo – the greyhound that is the symbol of the fashion house in the center of a heraldic coat of arms – appears on the front fenders,near the directional blinkers,as further identifi cation of this special edition. The interior finishings of the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo Trussardi are exclusive as well. The seats are covered in a special leather in the Leather Glove Beige color, with contrasting stitching that creates a caned motif inspired by a history-making glove in the Trussardi archives. An additional touch of elegance for the interiors comes with the presence of the Trussardi logo – blending tradition and modernity – which is embossed on the seat headrests and appears also on the central tunnel. The BMW 5 Series Tran Turismo Trussardi blends the technology, the innovation, and the research for which the German automaker is famous with the elegance, the style, and the exclusivity of the Italian fashion house.”

The special order Trussardi version of the BMW 5 Series GT can be ordered on a series of models from BMW Italy and takes about 6 weeks.

We take a first look at the Trussardi Spring/Summer 2011 Footwear. The Italian brand has been on the rise in recent years and especially their last two collections looked fantastic. They continue in line with those and once again present tribal inspired high top sneakers, both in terms of patterns, colors and materials.

Their new creative direction is bold and interesting, offering something completely new and that is exactly what we like so much about the new Trussardi. Italian luxury brand Trussardi is certainly on a run these past seasons. We loved their latest offering of sneakers and accessories and today we present you their version of a city bike. The Perfecto jacket has made somewhat of a resurgence lately, and while we’re speaking “comeback season”, I suppose Trussardi is worth a nod as well. Under the design direction of Milan Vukmirovic, the Italian brand’s 1911 line reinforces their folk spirit while evoking their century-old expertise in leather goods. Today we can give you a look at two high top sneakers from the Trussardi 1911 Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. The Italian brand has certainly been celebrating a bit of a comeback these last months, especially presenting strong leather goods collections. For next season they were inspired by folk art from the early 70s. A light brown sneaker and the camouflage sneaker are both already available from colette.

After recently showing you the Trussardi 1911 Fall/Winter 2009 Camo Luggage Collection, we can present you today the matching camo high top sneaker that the premium Italian brand has come out with this season. The sneaker comes in a mix of canvas and premium suede on the upper, nicely rounded off with a gum outer sole. All in all a very clean looking sneaker, perfect for the season. Via Openers.

Trussardi has released a line of coated canvas bags as part of their Trussardi 1911 Collection. The bags come with camouflage patterns in two colorways and are available in two sizes. The premium leather details are a nice finish on the series. The bag collection is now available from colette.
