Some great new leather sleeve down jackets are releasing from Undercover for Holiday 2011. Jun Takahashi decided to produce exclusive colors for each of his flagship stores, with no shop getting the same one. You will be able to purchase these starting November 6th, 2011.

With the launch of their new website this past week, Undercover also presents their upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 men’s collection. The color choice of Jun Takahashi is as usual on point and sets the brand continuously apart from everything else out there. Great layered looks make up most of the collection next season, featuring just the right amount of details.

It is still surprising seeing brands that have been around for such a long time only launch their web presence now. In Japan we come across this more often than elsewhere though. Today Jun Takahashi announces that on October 22nd the brand will be showing its Spring/Summer 2012 Women’s Collection online and if you want to watch it on their new website, you have to register (starting today) and get a password.

After having presented earlier the Undercover x Nike Gyakusou Zoom Structure+ 15 running shoe, we take a look today at the remaining footwear from the Jun Takahashi designed running collection.

The Nike Lunarspider LT+ 2 comes also as part of the collection in two colorways – dark grey/purple and grey/orange. The sneakers are extremely light and feature a Lunar outer sole, Flywire side-panels and mesh pretty much all over the upper. A patent leather patch has been placed on the heel, along with an embossed digital clock patch. Look out for a release of the sneakers, along with the rest of the collection on October 15th, 2011.

Undercover presents a nice two tone canvas tote bag from its Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. The bag comes in two colorways, featuring a mixed canvas/waxed canvas upper with subtle printed graphics featured on both sides. The leather handles and zip pocket on the inside are nice added details on this very solid piece.

We take a first look at some footwear from the new Undercover x Nike Gyakusou Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. The Zoom Structure+ 15 gets the Jun Takahashi treatment, mixing the latest that the Swoosh has to offer in running technology with his smart choice of muted colors. The outcome is a subtle, yet beautiful looking running shoe, which will release along with the entire collection on October 15th, 2011.

After presenting you the ‘Running Monks’ video, which was produced for the new Undercover x Nike Fall/Winter 2011 Gyakusou Collection, we can present today the collection lookbook of the latest running line designed by Jun Takahashi. In the lookbook you see the designer and his GIRA running team explore some of Japan’s most unique treasures, including the Tofuku-ji, a National Treasure of Japan, founded in 1236, and Kozan-ji, which is registered as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also the fine details of the construction and choice of color of the collection are highlighted. Once again an impressive offering, which brings running gear without any doubt to another level.

The collection releases October 15th, 2011, at Firmament and other premium retailers.

Today we present a new video, introducing the new Undercover x Nike Fall/Winter 2011 Gyakusou Running Collection. Jun Takahashi continues to produce excellent technical running garments together with the Swoosh, featuring his well selected range of muted colors. The outcome is a perfect balance between performance and style.

As we’ve seen over the past year, the GYAKUSOU collection by Undercover translates the Nike running design language into Jun Takahashi’s world, expanding on its core product with innovative, lightweight, waterproof, breathable fabrics in “less-but-better” cuts. An all together techincal, functional and unique new take on running gear by runners.

The good news is of course that the collection continues for Holiday 2011. Here we preview a 3/4 sleeve GYAKUSOU t-shirt that mixes Dri-Fit with wool in a neutral and mild color palette that mirrors the park and city environments where GIRA train. Articulated sleeves and elastic cuffs maximize movement and maintain fit for optimal running performance.
