Phosphorescence is a new eyewear brand that invited designers, artists, models, musicians, stylists and creatives in general to design sunglasses with them. All their sunglasses are produced by hand in Japan to the highest quality standard. In their first season they have worked with Erin Wasson, Rockers NYC, No Age, United Bamboo, Opening Ceremony, Maria Kornejo and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth.

After a couple of previews the United Bamboo x Porter Bag Collection for Fall/Winter 2010 has been released. Consisting of a travel bag, a tote bag and a pouch bag, each piece comes in a mix of thick canvas and leather and is available in two colorways. The United Bamboo online store has the entire collection in stock now.

After a quick look yesterday we can show you the United Bamboo x Converse 1HUND(RED) Artists Chuck Taylor All Star. Seeing an actual similarity to the classic Chuck Taylor is on this alteration pretty tough. The sneaker comes with a white quilted upper, suede toe cap and several red accents. In an interesting project Converse connects with fashion label United Bamboo as part of their 1HUND(RED) artist series. The label worked together with Sonia Delauney on a Chuck Taylor All Star, that looks very different from the classic silhouette. The sneaker features an all-over embroidery, suede toe cap and red United Bamboo logo stripe. It will be released in the honeyee.store on November 13th.

In another interesting collaboration Common Projects has gotten together with United Bamboo. The two brands worked on the popular Common Projects low top trainer and gave it a gray and brown plaid wool upper, getting it ready for the colder months of the year. The sneakers will be available exclusively from United Bamboo, starting September 2009.

Some fantastic new tote bags are coming from United Bamboo. The bags come in heavy duty canvas and feature nice thick strap handles. They are offering them in two sizes, each in two colorways. N.S.C. produced the bags for United Bamboo in Japan. The bags are now available in the honeyee.store.

United Bamboo teamed up with French music/fashion duo Kitsuné on a small capsule collection, entitled “Modern Marines”. The two brands worked on a series of nautical inspird knitwear. The highlight is the collaborative crest that is applied on the chest of all pieces, including a sweater, zip cardigan and a womens dress. Via Honeyee.
