The nicest piece so far to come from the URSUS Bape Collection will release this week – the Melton Jacket. The jacket made of melton wool comes in two colorways and is styled after the classic college jacket. While the jacket stays simple on the front, the back of it features an extensive embroidery graphic. The New York flagship store will carry it from November 11th.

We take a first look at the upcoming releases from the URSUS Bape Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. The new drop includes the Melton Jacket in two colorways, some new plaid shirts and also they will introduce the URSUS Bape Sta sneaker in two colorways. Look out for a release of the new product on November 7th.

After a small preview, the first pieces of the new Ursus Bape Fall/Winter 2009 Collection has been released. The collection is designed by Tet from WTAPS and introduces a more mature, outdoor and workwear inspired style, into the Bape collection. For us it is without a doubt the most exciting addition to the Bape brand since a long time and we look forward seeing its development.

First releases of the brand include shirts, denim, t-shirts, as well as some accessories. The Bape head logo comes in a new skull version for Ursus Bape. The first pieces are now available at Cliff Edge.

We get a first look at the new URSUS Bape collection, designed by Tetsu Nishiyama (Tet) of WTAPS. He is the creative director of the new URSUS Bape line from Fall/Winter 2009. The line is an extension to the collaborative t-shirts that were previously only available in Japan. The Bape General’s logo has been transformed into a skull, which makes up the motif of the URSUS logo. The collection will consist of “dark” and “pop-art like” designs with a lot of attention to detail and craftmanship. You can expect to see clothing and accessories, featuring authentic military, work and outdoor inspired pieces. We are definitely looking forward to see the line. Here above a little preview.

A while back we announced that Nigo was stepping down from the head designer position of Bape. Right away rumors came up that Tet, head designer of WTAPS, was taking over the reigns at A Bathing Ape. Today we get a first behind the scenes look at the Ursus Bape collection, which is designed by Tet. We cannot wait to see what the outcome of this collaboration is and can only hope for the best. Judging from the designs we known from WTAPS, Tet’s involvement is certainly a good sign.
