Vael Project releases their Fall 2009 collection of footwear. With a nice selection of boots and sneakers, this is a brand that was made for the Fall. Pictured above is the Brogue Boot in black, complete with tumbled leather upper, lining and laces all atop a light weight welted Vibram sole. Other notable releases are VAEL’s naval inspired Deckard Boots – again with leather uppers and Vibram soles – as well as several more sneaker-like silhouettes. Now available from VAEL retailers.

At least once in a while we have to give you some alternatives from the standard brands that we report about daily. Vael Project has in the short time that it has been around already presented a multitude of interesting product. Most notably boots and a beautiful luggage line.

Here we take a look at their Borg Mid Sneaker. The colors work well together, the upper features a leather/suede combination and details such as the Vibram sole and hiking inspired lacing system make this sneaker a winner.

As much as we are impressed by the Vael Project Footwear Collection, we have to admit that we got most excited when we first saw their line-up of bags for Holiday 2008. A couple of months ago, Japanese Huge Magazine had a spread of hiking/outdoor inspired goods, including boots, clothing and also accessories. Somewhere in there we first stumbled across the bags and were really excited to find out that it was a Vael collection, because that means that it will actually be available outside of Japan.

The collection consists of several messenger bags and in our mind the center piece – the rucksack. All bags come in a mix of premium leathers and canvas, perfectly translating into a high end mountain look with nice leather and metal details.

As we see fashion trends swing toward clean cut shoes, Vael is One of the up and coming brands to look out for this year. The Borg low features premium leathers with leather linings and footbeds but most importantly Vibram outsoles which are undoubtedly the best in the business. Vael Project is an interesting new player in the footwear market and presents its first collection now. Boots, boat shoes, hi-top sneakers and other styles can be found in this high-quality footwear collection, which targets a more mature market that appreciates quality.
