Vane and Sebago keep their partnership moving forward with the release of 3 new boots military inspired boots. For this drop, the two went with 3 different styles: a Jungle Tactic boot made of premium leather and suede detailngs; an Orbital Command boot with a moc toe; and the Camo Exo boot featuring a digital camo print on the side panels. The boots are limited to 150 pairsand they’re available at the Vane web shop.

As part of the Vane x Sebago Capsule Collection Spring/Summer 2011, the classic Dockside boat shoe has released, featuring a complete reflective 3M upper. Next to the Sebago logo tag, the Stash logo has been embossed next to the laces. The shoes are now available from Foot Patrol (storeguide) in London.

Vane and Sebago continue to work together for Fall 2011 with a number of shoes that push boundaries for the classic American footwear brand. Our favorites were the more toned-down blue mid and high top boat shoes. Patent leather on the heel keeps it out-there. The grey and red lows also caught our eye at Bread & Butter Berlin.

In yet another collaboration between Vane and Sebago we present to you the Field Exo Boots. The boots come in two colorways, mixing canvas and leather on the upper. The ankle flap can be worn up and down and features a felt lining. Overall they chose great colors for both boots, which add a modern touch to the classic silhouette. The Vane logo has been embossed on the tongue.

Another impressive project from Sebago is their on-going VANE collaboration. For Holiday 2010, VANE’s boot-in-boot concept ( first seen in patent leather) is translated to a set of more organic looks. The styles are also beefed up with a half-lug sole that takes it away from the boat and into the woods… Or from the streets to the streets. Whatever. It looks good.

VANE and Sebago are opening a pop-up shop in NYC tomorrow. The store is located at 125 Rivington St. and will be selling the SS10 range, as well as previewing the Holiday 2010 lineup seen here. The VANE x Sebago Concept Store will run through August 2010.

Following the success of their initial partnership, Vane revisits the Sebago for another line up of footwear. The Docksides boat shoe is features in black patent or silver reflective 3M, while the Lighthouse Boot is seen with a roll-down Cordura outer boot. Last up is the Penny Boot, which combines the traditional penny loafer with a mid cut boot in black on black. Each shoe is co-branded with vintage Sebago and VANE tags. We’re wary of the “Future Heritage” tag line, but they’re available now at sebago.com.

Sebago continues to work with NYC jewelry and lifestyle brand Vane on a collection of footwear. For Spring/Summer 2010 they present the “Future Heritage” Collection, which consists of a mix of high top and low top boat shoes, based off of the Sebago classics. Vane adds premium materials and new looks to the classic Sebago Docksider boat shoe. As part of this collection Vane also designed a shoe entirely covered in reflective 3M material. Other styles are a little more classic.

Judging from the first images of the Spring/Summer 2009 collections, boat shoes will also be a major part of our footwear this coming summer. We have already seen new styles by Lanvin and by Sperry Topsider this season. Here we present you now the collaboration between New York design collective Vane and Sebago.

They worked on the classic Sebago Docksides boat shoe and gave it an updated look, adding some color and different leathers to the classic silhouette. The collection will be available at Training Camp, Brooklyn Circus Global, Alife and Format in New York City, Solemates in Chicago, The Closet in Los Angeles, Nubian in Japan, Nomad in Toronto this March. Vane has teamed with luxe home fragrance studio, Joya, to create a new line of candles called New York Mixology.

Evoking the ambiance of old-fashioned speakeasies, New York Mixology infuses the timeless process of craftsmanship with the art of the cocktail. The series of 3 scented candles (Basil Vodka Gimlet, Passionfruit Gin Martini, and Honey Whiskey Fix) is inspired by classic drink recipes and poured in installments by hand in New York City to achieve a unique, layered fragrance experience. Each is paired with a plate refashioned from ceiling tile–pressed, cut, and coated with acrylic paint by hand – also in New York.

New York Mixology launches at STUDIO @ Fred Segal in Los Angeles and Tomorrowland’s Edition boutiques in Japan. Online at wearevane.com and joyastudio.com. Each piece retails for $60.

Filled with New York flare, Vane keeps things rather simple for fall 2008. With full cut and sew on the way, they’ve focused on t-shirts and jewelry in a small capsule collection. The rings are two finger brass knuckle style (with a function that shouldn’t be lost).

Vane developed a new version of the “We Are All Vane” Pendant. 

“This jewelry piece is def pretty controversial, but fun.  The partner’s in Vane are all different religions, so that got us to thinking about dudes rocking crosses and things like that.  The piece is a combination of three major religion’s symbols: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.  This piece is def one of our favorites because it describes city life so well – many different ethnicities, religions, cultures, and ideas all living together. Vane def thinks that the world loses sight of the fact that we are all equal and can coexist.”
The pendant comes in three different finishes – gun metal plated, brass plated, and silver plated.  All the pieces are made of pewter.  The pewter pieces sell for $85.  They also created a sterling silver version, which sells for $1200. The piece was carved by hand in silver and then lost cast molded – this gives it a unique feel.  The piece is 100% made in New York like all Vane goods.  The pendant comes on a great 36 inch brass rope chain.
