Here you see the next installment of the Vans Sky Gallery, that we have already presented you earlier on this year. Artists create works that Vans then puts up on two billboards throughout Los Angeles. This time they worked with artist Derek Albeck.

“Derek Albeck was born in 1983 in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. Showing a talent for art at an early age Derek would scribble and Draw on anything and everything that was put in front of him. His passion for art followed him into college where he studied printmaking, painting and art history at California State University Northridge. After Graduating with honors in 2005 Derek is currently working as a full time artist in Los Angeles.”
The artist developed several artworks for the project as well as custom Slip-Ons! You can see the rest of his work for the Vans Sky Gallery here.

After first presenting you the Vans Sky Gallery a couple of months ago we give you a small update here. We have shown you the works for this project already by Kelsey Brookes, Sage Vaughn and also Marco Zamora. Today we show you what artist Cole Gerst has created.
“Cole Gerst is an artist, illustrator, designer and animator based in the Mount Washington area of LA. He is the founder and art director of option-g visual communication. Gerst began his career in the music business designing cd covers and posters for such bands as The Shins, Modest Mouse, Beck, Elliot Smith and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.”
Vans features the original work by the artists on a prominent billboard in LA. Find out more about the location and the project here.
