We get a closer look at the latest collaboration between Japanese brand Deluxe and Vans. After working last season on the Sk8 Hi, Deluxe this year chose the Chukka Boot. It comes in a beautiful combination of navy leather and suede with brown leather accents, making for an overall solid and well rounded look. Via Warp.
Vans drops another solid Chukka Low in a perforated off-white suede with contrasting black tongue and heel tab. Includes the standard padded collar coupled with Vans’ classic vulcanized outsole for comfort, board feel and style. Now available from Allike.
DQM offers a better look at the hand painted Robert Williams Vans Vault Era’s. “If you haven’t already, make sure you take a minute to watch the video of him rolling out the canvas in his garage, painting it, bringing it to China and having it cut up and placed on the shoe. You don’t see an effort like that on most artist shoe collaborations. This is a true collectors item. On sale Saturday morning 10/31 only at DQM.”

Vans Vault and artist Robert Williams collaborated on an Era that celebrates Robert’s new show at The Tony Shafrazi Gallery, NYC. With only 13 pairs available, these hand-painted, hand-signed shoes will be available exclusively at DQM on October 31st, 2009. Vans Japan hooks up with Disney to work on the Sk8 Hi. The classic skate sneaker comes with a black/white canvas/suede upper. The white side-panels of the sneaker feature a Mickey Mouse head all-over print. The sneakers are now available in Japanese Disney stores and come wrapped in a matching canvas bag.

Renowned artist Taka Hayashi offers his distinctive handstyle to Vans for their 27th annual Triple Crown of Surfing event that takes place starting this November at Hawaii’s North Shore. Inspired by the Hawaiian venue, the shoes sport a black on black reef-like print across a canvas upper with an orange interpration on the inside. The shoe also features metal eyelets, round laces, and a blue sole (for the water!). Alongside original Taka Vans logos adorning the tongue and heel, the insoles are printed with the full Triple Crown of Surfing Hawaii script. Now available at Flauge.

To accompany their collaborative snowboard boot, Vans and Airblaster got together on a water resistant Era. The “Stay Wild” Era features an all-black upper with a bright pink top eyelet and teal lining alongside Airblaster logo placements. Perfect for those slushy days in the parking lot. From the Vans Surf Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, the Sk8 Mid Fur has been released. The mid top sneaker comes in black, beige and navy, featuring clean suede uppers and fur linings, making it a shoe to consider for the colder months of the year. The sneaker will be available soon at Flauge.

Another interesting new Vans Sk8 Hi has released in Japan. The high top sneaker comes in brown and black suede with a fringe look and further tribal inspired colorful embroideries on the tongue, as well as thick stitching details on the upper. The sneaker is now available at ABC-Mart.

Japan’s Ollie Magazine gets together with Vans on the MAD Ollie Old Skool. The sneaker commemorates this year’s MAD Ollie music festival. It comes in a classic black suede upper with checkered mid-sole and further details on the in-sole and tongue. The sneaker is now available at Vans Japan dealers.
