Once again inspired by the famous Paul Smith multicolor stripe pattern, Vans hasreleased the "Paul Smith" Pack as part of their Vault Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The pack consists of a Chukka, an Era and a Slip-On. The uppers come in grey and the lining all feature the striped pattern.

Yesterday we presented you the first part of the Vans Vault Fall 2008 collection, which consisted of a very solid set of shoes, coming in quality material, subtle colors and with interesting details.
Today we take a look at the second part of the Vans Vault Fall ‘08 collection, where the brand worked with some collaborators. Vans worked with Moon Equipped and Niagara on this part of the collection and thus it also gets a lot more colorful than in the first part. Moon Equipped is a custom cycle shop. Niagara is a painter and also founder of the punk band “Destroy All Monsters”. She has exhibits all around the globe and also designed her own clothing line together with Hysteric Glamour. We give you a first look at the Vans Vault Fall 2008 collection. The new collection looks better than anything we have seen in recent years. Solid colorways, premium materials and they are not going crazy with colors this time, which is also nice to see. Oestrich, pony hair and exotic leathers found their way into the line. Also Vans added again the Full Cab and a nice boat shoe to the line. They also experimented with the soles, adding an AF1/Dunk sole to some of their classics, which changes the look significantly. The Sk8 Hi comes in a camo and a khaki make-over with safari pockets, also interesting. Pics via Fresh Azimiz.

Vans presents their new Vault Spring 2008 range, with the theme “Color Theory”. The new collection presents sneakers in a variety of colors and textures, inspired by art and the counter-culture movement of skateboarding and surfing. Stylistic simplicity, designer textiles and patterns make their way onto the Vans classics.
The collection as usual has some strong pieces in it. We also enjoy very much the wide range of simple sneakers without designs or patterns.

The original hanon M576 is back! This is the first ever hanon x New Balance designed and released in 2004.

Assembled at New Balance’s renowned UK Flimby factory, their first collaboration featured the classic M576 running shoe remixed with a combination of suede, full grain leather and airflow mesh. They released two styles to an edition of 196 pairs, each featuring notable details such as a contrast white saddle and the now familiar gold ‘N.

What is the Vault and what was up with the green colourway?

Initially they designed 3 colourways but due to some difficulty meeting factory minimums, one unfortunately had to go. Reluctantly the green was dropped and only the navy and red were manufactured. However New Balance Japan liked the style so much they took up the production of the green colourway and the shoe was released as a special edition in the Far East. Upon its launch, sneaker heads across the globe quickly picked up on the 3rd model, and although never an official hanon release – was out there. The secret colourway!

The Vault.

The Vault includes their ’stash’ and a short run of the green model from the allocated release. All three can now be released as the original pack and the green ones are back home! The release took place this Saturday – if you are interested you gotta hurry up.

A while back we presented you the Vans Vault Fall 2007 collection and thought that was all there is to come. Well, it was not. Vans has about the double of what we showed you then in the new Vans Vault 2007 collection and some exciting styles and colorways are still to come.
They present a new variation of their classic checkered design, this time in Ice Grey and it looks great. Polka dots also still seem to be working strong, in the new collection they have the Dot Rings, a variation of the classic polka dot design. Our favorites in this part of the line-up are for sure the tonal models, super simple, but great colors. But they also do have some nice patterns, materials and graphics in this second part of the collection.

As part of their Fall 2007 Vault Collection Vans presents the “Real Deal” Pack. It consist of overall four models – Sk8 Hi, Half Cab, Prison Issue and Chukka. They all come in both black and white premium leathers with contrasting red stitching on the back heel and otherwise tonal stitching. A very nice and solid pack. They will be released in August at Zozo.
