French label Veja are launching two new online exclusive colorways of their SPMA sneaker. Featuring gum soles made of Amazonian rubber and mixed leather and canvas uppers, the sneakers are limited to 60 pairs per color. The shoes will officially drop on March 21, 2011, but Highsnobiety readers can take advantage of a special pre-launch through the following links: Vinho, True Blue.

Veja presents two great looking bags for Fall 2010. The Mochila Rucksack features leather detailing and three plastic clasp fastened external pockets, while the Acacia Canvas Bag features a biscuit leather strap, handles and zip pulls with two external pockets. The cotton used is also of interest.

The lining and canvas is made from organic cotton grown by a co-operative of producers in the Northeast of Brazil. The cotton is grown in the agro-ecology method which bans the use of chemicals and pesticides. The leather is tanned with acacia extracts; a natural, non-polluting tannin.The bags are hand crafted and assembled in an atelier that respects the workers’ rights.

French footwear label Veja produced two exclusive styles for UK retailer Oi Polloi. The Veja Indígenos in Clay suede and the Veja Tauá in Moonrock leather are limited to 12 pairs per style, and are in store now at Oi Polloi. Clean looks for the transition through seasons.

We also visited the Seek show in Berlin this week, with a small, yet very good selection of young premium brands. Here we take a look at the upcoming Veja high top sneaker for Spring 2011. It comes in three suede colorways with an embroidered “v” logo on the side-panel, which actually looks much nicer than the patch logo.

End Clothing has received a couple new styles from fair-trade footwear manufacturer Veja. The stand out being this slim-profile high top made up of ecological suede and raw natural latex. “There are no compromises on styling with this shoe, clean, simple lines make the Indigenos look great as well as being ecologically sound.”

Cyclope, the epicenter of the Parisian track and fixed-gear scene, has joined forces with fellow French establishment Veja to create an exclusive sneaker made with ecological materials and adapted for fixed-gear cycling. The toe has been strengthened with a vegetable-tanned leather yoke, while the Wild Amazonian rubber sole receives a hard-wearing 25mm build. Comes in black/blue/turquoise as well as black/red/cormin. The collaboration trainers are limited to 384 pairs and will be released in January 2010.

We give you a first look at the Veja Spring/Summer 2009 SPMA Collection. SPMA stands for São Paulo, Mon Amour. The high top Veja SPMA collection has been thought as an ode to São Paulo. The collection, made of ecological leather has been inspired by the electrical and improvised artistic creation of the Brazilian metropolis.

The Veja SPMA collection is a limited edition available in 13 stores in Europe, and in exclusivity in the UK at Poste London and OKI-NI.
