Last night, Verbal and Swizz Beatz hosted a Reebok Reethym of Lite Launch Party in Tokyo, debuting Reebok’s Reethym of Lite Asia Pacific campaign, under the creative direction of Verbal. Over 1,000 people gathered at Ebisu Garden Hall witnessing a line up of performances by Japanese artists Trippple Nippples, Mademoiselle Yulia, DJ Lucas Valentine and Taku.

Celebrity guests included: supermodel Ai Tominaga, Hong Kong actor/DJ Sam Lee, Japanese singer Beni, Malaysian DJ Xu from LAPSAP, Bathing Ape founder Nigo, Japanese singer Crystal Kay, models Elie Rose and Melody Yoko, Kozue Akimoto from Shibuhara Girls, influential fashion commentator Don Konishi, and Beams CEO Yo Shitara.

As announced a while back, Reebok named Verbal their new creative director for Asia Pacific, taking on a similar role as Swizz Beatz, helping out to relaunch the Reebok Classics range. You can imagine that the artist and designer will be making things a little more colorful and will also add his own taste and take on things to the campaigns, which you can already preview here above.

The first results from the cooperation between the brand and Verbal will be seen in stores these coming weeks. We will of course keep you posted.

In an interesting announcement, Tokyo designer Verbal, best known for his brand Ambush and musical involvements, has been named creative director of Reebok Classics Asia. He joins global creative director Swizz Beatz, who has already started in his new role and released the Kamikaze sneaker as part of the project. The results of Verbal’s involvement should also be interesting, we will definitely keep you posted. (Tokydandy)

Japanese retailer Beams presents a lookbook shoot for Spring/Summer 2011. Entitled “The Portraits”, the lookbook features the new collections that are coming to Beams stores in the coming months, worn by Japanese personalities from the fashion and design word. Included in the lookbook are Nigo (A Bathing Ape), Verbal (Ambush), Masamichi Katayama (Wonderwall) and many others.

For Dr. Martens 50th Anniversary, Verbal + Yoon cover The Runaways’ Cherry Bomb. The music video is directed by Yue Wu. The Parisian artist and motion graphics designer created a great video of Verbal and Yoon, enhanced with some dope effects. You gotta see it for yourself!

The other day we gave you an exclusive preview of the new Parisian jewelry brand Nous Sommes. Karl Lagerfeld himself was sporting his necklace. Here Verbal from Japanese brand Ambush now gives a preview of the blacked out version of the necklace, which will be coming to stores soon.

As part of their “Journey of a Man’s Wardrobe” campaign, The Selby shot designer Verbal for Louis Vuitton. You get a detailed look at the Verbal’s studio space in Tokyo, his favorite Louis Vuitton items and also some previews of what there is to come from his Ambush jewelry line, such as the “Eyeball” rings.

After attending the Ambush trunk show at colette in Paris, Verbal headed to Social Club to spin the night – “We Are Underage” Meets “Make Some Noize”.
