Piaggio has previewed their upcoming Vespa 46 at the EICMA 2011 in Milan. Based on the MP6 prototype, which originally released in 1946, the brand combines vintage styling and modern technology in the scooter. The scooter is set for a 2012 release, coming in both 125 and 155cc versions. The aluminum body, seat construction and overall choice of materials looks fantastic. This might be your best bet when it comes to a new scooter, in terms of design.

Not only did Fred Perry  work with Raf Simons on a dedicated 100th anniversary collection, but they also worked with Vespa on a scooter.

The scooter comes limited to 100 pieces and features classic Fred Perry branding, including the laurel logo and the tipping stripes. The scooter will only be available in the UK, France, US and Japan from August 2009.

After presenting to you already a couple of styles of the adidas x Vespa Spring 2009 collection, which is part of the adidas 60th anniversary celebration, we show you the remaining footwear from the collection today.

There are a couple of nice new styles in the line-up. Overall we think adidas did a pretty good job, translating the classic Vespa feeling into footwear. These days you can never be sure, but other brands might have started printing Vespas all over the shoes. The rather discrete metal Vespa logo is definitely the better way to go.

Coming from the adidas and Vespa collaboration this Spring/Summer 2009 season, is the above beige suede mid top sneaker. It comes with an all suede upper and nice quality details and a gum sole. The sneaker certainly transmits the whole 60’s Vespa vibe.

Today we give you a first detailed look at a shoe out of the adidas x Vespa Spring 2009 collection. The line is part of the adidas 60th anniversary celebrations. The sneaker comes ankle high and features a premium suede upper. We like the stitching details and that the sneaker is otherwise kept tonal.

For Spring/Summer 2009 adidas has a lot of interesting projects aligned. One of them, the Jeremy Scott collection, we have already presented extensively. Here we give you a first look at the collaboration collection with Italian scooter maker Vespa.

Inspired by the 50s and 60s, adidas presents a sneaker and apparel collection. The stand-out piece in the collection will be the Vespa Gran Lusso sneaker, heavily influenced by the scooter brand and its history.
