Japanese retailer Beams has collaborated with Rocky Mountain Featherbed on a down vest for Holiday 2009. The vest comes in a multicolor look on the front and in blue on the back, playing with the various panels. Furthermore the shoulder parts of the vest come in premium leather.

Comme  des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN worked with The North Face on a couple of pieces for Fall/Winter 2009. Complementing their hunting and outdoor inspired offering of the season, they produced in collaboration with The North Face a vest in several colorways, as well as two coats. The North Face logos are embroidered tonal and nice details include cordoroy and leather patches through out the collection. The pieces are now available from Reinforce.

Two solid pieces from the Wacko Maria Fall/Winter 2009 Collection have been released. The Stadium Jacket comes in a nice dark grey colorway and even though it features extensive embroideries on the back, the jacket does not seem overloaded. Next up is the melton wool vest. It was inspired heavily by a classic blazer and is available in two colorways this season. Both pieces are now in stock at ELT.

Penfield gets together with Japanese retailer nano universe to collaborate on two down vests. They offer a classic black/red plaid version and a tartan pattern version of the classic piece of outerwear. Look out for a release soon.

Some fantastic new releases from the Junya Watanabe Fall/Winter 2009 Collection have been released today. The hunting/workwear inspired collection continues to impress. In this release new down vests have released, along with some very nice jackets and shirts. The vests and jackets come with premium leather details and enforcements, as well as typical outdoor fabrics, including gingham, herringbone and plaid. The new pieces are now available at colette.

Another exciting collaboration by mastermind JAPAN has been released over the weekend. Together with Rocky Mountain FeatherBed Co. they created a series of down vests and jackets. Once again Stussy got together with Futura Laboratories. For Fall/Winter 2009 the two brands produced a small capsule collection, consisting of t-shirts, down vests, denim, as well as a Crank messenger bag collaboration. All pieces feature signature graphics by the two brands, making the collection an instant classic.

Dr. Romanelli is certainly staying busy these days. After recently presenting an entire collection in collaboration with Shelter and Nike Sportswear, as well as working with SURU LA and Alpinestars, he also created a series of biker inspired leather vests for New York retailer Jeffrey NYC. The pieces are made from 1980’s biker jackets and the graphic is based on Marlon Brando’s bike club logo in “The Wild One”.

After previously only showing you the caps of the collection, we can finally show you the complete collaborative collection of Dr. Romanelli, Nike Sportswear and Mexico City retailer Shelter. The designer worked on jackets, hooded jackets and puffy vests and created a pretty large offering. Mexican design and cultural elements are nicely integrated into almost all pieces of the collection. After almost one year of sourcing materials and working on the design part of the collection, you can finally purchase the line as of tonight at the launch event at Galeria Nina Menocal, which of followed by a secret after party with live performances of Mexico’s biggest rock bands.

Matt George gives us a preview of the Ransom Fall 2009 Work Wear West. The Canadian brand continues to develop nicely, adding key pieces to the collection. This vest could not be a better fit, featuring a work wear aesthetic, yet with a premium overall appearance. The Ransom version comes with a canvas upper and leather shoulder patch. Unfortunately you will have to wait a bit for the release.
