Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Japanese brand NEXUSVII gets together with Stussy on a technical down west. The NEX-WCS (Nexus 7 Weather Clothing System) down vest comes in a blue colorway, featuring a Windstopper layer with added breathable and water resistant fabrics, making it the perfect companion for the coming months. The vest releases in Japan on October 8th, 2011.

Another great collaboration coming from Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN this season is their work with Duvetica. They present a padded down jacket and a matchind reversible down vest. Both feature beige uppers. The jacket comes with corduroy and checker panels on the back, as well as plaid lining. The vest is beige on one side and red/white plaid on the other and zips all the way up. Both pieces are now available from END.

Taking a bit of a vintage outdoor inspiration, visvim presents the new Insulator Vest from its Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. The sleeveless piece comes in overall 4 colors, features contrasting linings and leather shoulder accents. We especially like the green and light orange versions of the piece.

The North Face Purple Label keeps dropping great gear and it continues to drive us crazy, that the line is not available outside of Japan.

This week the brand releases the Mountain Wind Parka and matching Mountain Wind Vest, each in three colorways. The light weight pieces feature Pertex fabric uppers with patterned wool inserts on the shoulders for the added twist.

From the Mihara Yasuhiro Fall/Winter 2011 Collection we present two extra-ordinary down vests. One features an entirely knitted wool upper in navy, while the other one comes with an all-over rabbit fur upper. If you are tired of the nylon down vest look, these might be an option for the colder season. Restir has both in stock now.

Fall/Winter 2011, Reigning Champ teams up with designer Mark McNairy on a small capsule collection. The boxing-inspired collection consists of a Zip Vest, Sweatpants, and a Printed T-shirt manufactured using Reigning Champ’s signature 25 oz heavyweight french terry. Each piece comes in two colorways and is now in stock at Haven.

For Fall/Winter 2011 Barbour has produced a small range of goods with R. Newbold. A vest, the Bedale Jacket and the Quilting Jacket come as part of this collaboration in new colors and with added details. R. Newbold added prints to the vest and the Bedale jacket, giving the otherwise very classic pieces a more modern appeal. At the same time, the brand used the classic plaid and tartan fabrics for the lining, which results in an overall interesting mash-up. The three pieces will release in several colorways September 2011.

Earlier today we presented the collaboration between uniform experiment and Alpha Industries. Here is now a look at their work with Rocky Mountain Featherbed, also as part of the Fall/Winter 2011 Collection.

Together they present a leather down vest in black and brown colorways, featuring a calf leather upper, fur collar and a U.E. logo placement under the collar on the back. The brown one is definitely our favorite. Look out for a release soon.

For Spring 2011 Dr. Romanelli has once again joined forces with A Love Movement, presenting a series of down vests, as part of the “Dr. Love” Spring 2011 Collection.

An interesting new reversible chambray down vest has released from the Original Fake Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. The vest comes in two colorways, featuring chambray uppers on one side and a clean white shell on the other, featuring some of OF’s more popular Kaws girl graphics.
