Once again The North Face get together with Taylor Design to collaborate on a small capsule collection. This seasons collaboration between the two is much more colorful than what we have seen before and we like that. They worked on a couple of technical jackets, t-shirts and some down vests.

As part of Sophnet’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection comes the Micro Taffeta Nylon Down Vest which has been released early this month in a series of colorways. A solid piece, perfect for the colder days that are still ahead. In terms of material, the vests remind us of the classic Moncler look.

Dr. Romanelli worked on a new down vest collection, entitled “Black Winter”, for Hong Kong based retailer Lane Crawford. All pieces of the collection have been created from vintage World War 2 fatigues and medic gear.

Once again impressive work from Dr. Romanelli. The entire line-up is strong and just like with all of his work, the pieces are all one-offs.

The Dr. Romanelli “Black Winter” Vest Collection will be released December 1rst at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong.

Dr. Romanelli gets together with A Love Movement’s Tetsuzo Okubo on the “Dr. Love” Collection, where the vintage remix master takes on the classic down vest. Exclusively available at Maxfield in Los Angeles, the two used vintage military garments, hippie and Americana canvas, as well as lots of smart leather detailing.

Japanese brand Devilock is celebrating its 12th anniversary. As expected they present a range of special items for the occasion. This year the brand worked on button-up fleece jackets, down vests, beanies as well as a backpack collaboration with Samurize.

The Devilock 12th anniversary items are now available at eproze.

As part of their Autumn/Winter 2008 collection, Head Porter Plus presents the Stitch Fleece series. The pack consists of a muffler, hooded vest and hoodie. All pieces come in several colorways and feature nice thick stitching.

If you want something a bit out of the ordinary, then you should have a closer look at these new Beams x Pendleton down vests. The Japanese retailer and US heritage wool maker got together. Pendleton signature wool and patterns have been applied to the upper of the vests, which come in two colorways.

Once again Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN and Moncler present a line-up of collaborative down jackets. For Autumn/Winter 2008 they worked on two down jackets and two down vests. All pieces feature classic wool on the upper and leather patches on the shoulders and elbows. The lining of the collar comes in corduroy and the interior lining of the jacket in a nice contrasting strong color. Pics via Reinforce.

First previewed by us a couple of months ago, the XLarge Japan x Penfield Outback vests will finally be released. Coming in overall three colorways, the vests come in navy, black and green and feature colorful linings as a nice contrast. On the chest they only carry the Penfield tag.

XLarge will be releasing the vests in Japan on October 10th.

Japanese retailer Beams got together with Rocky Mountain Featherbed to work on their classic down jackets and vests. As part of the collaboration they present two jackets and two vests, each coming with leather shoulder patches and fur collars. A nice classic piece of outerwear.

The Rocky Mountain Featherbed x Beams jackets will soon release at Beams.
