If you have footwear that looks better with frequent usage and age, but do not have the patience to get them to achieve that nice patina or distressed look, Nigel Cabourn and Viberg have these Service Boots that can assist you there. The light brown suede upper features some stains and signs of wear throughout the exterior, with even the midsole showing signs of dirt/filth. TATE + YOKO is a new Montreal-based menswear boutique focused primarily on quality craftsmanship. In store you’ll find a selection products from cult Japanese brands such as Studio D’Artisan, The Flat Head, Momotaro, Eternal, Oni, Kamikaze Attack and D# as well as the founder’s own Paulrose Products and Naked & Famous Denim lines.

Channeling the 40s and 50s aesthetics many of these labels are inspired by, the shop itself is fitted almost entirely with vintage industrial fixtures as well as custom metal piping, hangers and racks. As owner Brandon Svarc says, “wood is for pussies!”

In the change-rooms you’ll find walls lined with Young Romance comic book pages; on the back table, a mix of hard-to-find catalogs and magazines; and in the old Pepsi cooler, ice cold Ramune soda. Certainly a unique retail concept that you must experience if in Montreal.

Also of note, Tate + Yoko worked with Canadian boot maker Viberg on three shop exclusive boots in calfskin, buffalo and Horween leathers.

Vancouver, Canada based boot company Viberg showcases a forthcoming Servicemen Boot. Featured in Horween Calico Grey suede, the straight tip toe cap style includes a Vibram Moreflex Sole and leather laces. Available Fall/Winter 2012.

The latest project from Viberg Boots and Victoria, BC’s Four Horsemen Shop is a Saddle Oxford shoe featuring an Ice Mocha Chromexel leather Vamp and Counter with brogued Quarters in Vintage Tan, brass eyelets and a Vibram Christy sole. This Canadian designed and produced shoe will be available this week at Four Horsemen.

Once again Viberg has worked with boutique Leffot on a hiking boot. Featuring a full grain Horween Merlot Chomexcel leather upper and a black Vibram ripple sole. The Viberg logo has been embossed on the exterior of the boot, which is exclusively available at the New York boutique.

Retailer Leffot (storeguide) got together with boot maker Viberg to work on some Hikers for Holiday 2010. They present two boots as part of the collaboration, one featuring Peanut Bullhide leather uppers, the other one Ink Blue Reverse Chromexcel uppers. Both come with Vibram outer soles, yet different ones. Contrasting laces and stitching, as well as leather mid soles make for a beautiful finish on both boots.

Stockholm’s Caliroots team got together with Viberg to collaborate on their classic Bobcat 36 style boot. They chose to use three brown tones on the upper along with a 2021 beig Vibram outer sole. The boot is only available in an edition of 15. You can get it here from tomorrow 11am.

Japanese brand hobo has steadily made itself a strong name in the accessories market in recent years. From their Fall/Winter 2010 Collection we first present the footwear, with the other product to follow. Next to collaborations with Viberg and Diemme on two boots, and with Rainbow on a sandal, they also present a nice looking Chukka boot and two leather boots for the Fall/Winter 2010 season.

Today we present you the upcoming September 2009 releases from the Neighborhood Fall/Winter 2009 “W.D.W.Y.F.W.” Collection. For next month the Japanese brand present numerous interesting products. Of course they present some great shirts and outerwear, but the accessory line-up is more impressive. Collaborations with Viberg on boots and with Porter on backpacks and waist bags are included, as well as some fantastic skull keychains and a motorcycle helmet.
