Jay-Z on iLike – Get updates inside iTunes

Evan Roth, of The Graffiti Research Lab, went hard for his visual play on Jay Z’s “Brooklyn Go Hard” (featuring Santogold). For 5 years he’s been holding off requests to use the typographic illustration utilized in the video. He says for hopes Jay came calling. Well, it was RED and The Global Fund that called, but the effect remains the same. A stellar video for Hova’s newest track. (Via Kushtv).

Our friend Olivier pointed out the recently released Levi’s BMX video, featuring some of the most talented riders in the scene. The video is very strong and could be one of action sports best this year. Check it out!

After showing you the first part of the DJ Clark Kent Interview by NHTVSN here, we give you the second part today. He goes way beyond the usual topics of sneakers and music, and gives lots of background information on several topics. Once again a very interesting episode worth watching!

MTV has caught up to the notion that video on the net outways video on TV. MTV MUSIC has all the videos, all the time. You can join. You can vote. As some in the industry have already noted, why did this take so long? We might ask, is this the final red flag we need to really know that MTV is an old man at a young man’s party? Our hopes are that the videos come fast and furious, and generate the same joy accidentally catching a Hieroglyphics video on MTV 2 at 3am does.

Complex caught up with Nin Truong, the founder and creative director of one of our favorite brands in the market – Maiden Noir. The designer gives us a nice tour on how a collection is being built, what his steps in the creation process are and much more.

The guys of Off Bowery Productions, namely Aaron Bondaroff, have produced a nice little video, introducing some of their most prominent members and just the whole idea behind Off Bowery. The underlying message is “Turn Your Lifestyle Into A Job”, which we could not agree more with! Check it out!

In this digital age the move towards a more vibrant style of lookbook seemed inevitible. Still, most brands stuck to the tried and true. Cassette Playa, on the other hand, has produced a video highlighting their Autumn/Winter 2008 Collection.

Collaborating with Pitti Immages, Cassette Playa made the video “I Can Haz Ur Nightmarz Turnz to Dreamz.” This platform, then, became the showcase for the “Utube Utopia” collection which was inspired by social networking and new platforms for social exchange. Music is provided by internet star Patrick Jumpman.

Adidas usually does not communicate very much the designers behind their product, unless we are speaking about a high profile collaboration, like we have seen recently with Jeremy Scott. The adidas aZX range has been keeping us busy for a while now and some incredible product resulted in the collection.

Here we present you now an interview with Jacques Chassaing and Markus Thaler, the designers and pattern makers of the adidas ZX range. It’s very interesting getting some background on the design, as well as the construction of the range.

Towards the end of the movie, the two talk about the last two models to be released in the aZX range, the Z and the X, which have been hand made by th team of Markus and imagined by Markus and Jacques together. Make sure to check it out!
