the mirf vinyl toy - highsnobiety
This month, 1134 NYC teams up with NYC Art Toy Brand Thunderdog Studios to release the first ever graffiti based, wall mounted, vinyl toy.
Designed by 1134 NYC members MINT & SERF, this toy features a pure collaboration, merging their styles to form the iconic ‘MIRF’. More of a sculpture than a toy, the 9″ long MIRF is rotary molded in soft-vinyl and made in 4 color-ways, each limited to 200 pieces. The sleek sculpting of the MIRF is accentuated by it’s luxurious packaging which features a slide out box, silver foil and a two sided, flocked, blister tray.
East Coast (Matte) & West Coast (Glossy) editions are set to launch in June, 2008.

Head Porter “Vinyl” Collection

head porter vinyl collection - highsnobiety
This month Head Porter will be releasing its new "Vinyl" collection. The see-through vinyl bags come in a variety of colors and sizes. A similar collection has been released by Louis Vuitton a couple of years ago.
In this case Head Porter does not only imitate the Louis Vuitton pattern, but also the idea of using vinyl for the bags and as much as we like the Japanese brand, we think  that this has gone a little too far.
Make up your own opinion and look out for these to hit retailers any week now. Pic via Honeyee.

numark tti - highsnobiety
This week we came across an interesting new product by Numark – the TTi. The turntable can be connected to the computer via USB and it has a direct iPod dock. You can record vinyl directly onto your iPod and of course also onto your computer.
This is certainly not serious DJ equipment, but for someone that wants to enjoy his vinyl on the go, its definitely pretty cool!
