In their latest collaboration, Absolut Vodka has worked together with fashion designer Gareth Pugh. The Absolut Mode edition bottle was inspired by one of the pieces of the designer’s Spring/Summer 2007 Collection. The bottle was launched this week and is now available from Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.

ABSOLUT gets together with Spike Lee to design their latest limited edition vodka bottle – ABSOLUT Brooklyn.

“The bottle features a depiction of a brownstone with the number from Lee’s childhood home in Cobble Hill and bears his name on the bottle. Inside the bottle is a vodka flavored with apple and ginger. It has a retail price of $29.99 . Each of the city editions of Absolut has a charitable initiative attached, as part of this campaign Absolut is donating $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity to help fund an affordable homes project in Bedford-Stuyvesant.”

High-end French vodka label Grey Goose partnered with Chopard Jewelry for a limited release magnum. The bottle is adorned with a brilliant, glittering globe atop which sits a goose. Presented on preview at Cannes, the bottle will be available at major grocery stores in Paris until the end of September 2010.

At a recent trip to Stockholm, Absolute Vodka revealed an interesting project to us, where they got together with Spike Jonze on a film. Today the trailer of the film was released, with the entire film releasing online here in March.

On Monday we attended the official launch of the new Absolut Vodka Rock Edition launch. The new edition of the bottle comes wrapped in leather and studs, similar to the design we are used to see from designer Natalia Brilli, who also exhibited some of her pieces at the launch event.

For the occasion Absolut organized a massive launch event in Berlin. The free drinks of course helped. Natalia Brillis leather instruments were on display, along with artist guitars and more. For music that evening they had Wolfmother, Smith & Drums and DJ Alex come in.

We report pretty much every day about brands that mostly work with graphics on their clothing. At times its also really refreshing to take a closer look at brand such as Rittenhouse. The Australian brand has made a strong name for itself in recent years and present solid collections.
Unlike many others out there, they do hardly ever work with graphics and concentrate more on patterns, cuts and the details. The outcome is for this Spring/Summer 2008 season a smart collection that takes a new look at basics, giving them a refreshing make-over by playing with the panels and adding small details here and there.
