For Spring/Summer 2012 Head Porter introduces their Neon Series. Consisting of wallets, zip wallets and document cases in several sizes, the collection uses premium brown and black leathers, infused with neon accents. It reminds us a little bit of the Comme des Garcons wallet collection, yet we always enjoy the balance of classic and solid with more aggressive and loud accents. Ahhh, that lump of cowskin you haul your valuables around in – often neglected, rarely updated. At Carryology, we think the traditional wallet is a bit broken. Thanks to unchallenged design legacies, these traditional bi-folds and tri-folds result in a huge wallet and an ugly pocket bulge (Costanza anyone?).

Thankfully, there are ever increasing options in the world of wallet formats. We’ve picked out a number of wallets and card cases that do what they do well. Some are still a little bulky, but are only intended for a few cards so you can get away with it. All of them love their leather, and give you a bit of craft to carry on your daily adventures.

Japanese premium luggage brand Head Porter presents a bunch of great new materials and patterns for their new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Next to the Tank line, we especially like the all new Regatta collection, which nicely mixes classic colors with popping accents. The Neon Collection also looks good, mixing fine leathers with neon accents with an overall premium appeal that reminds of Comme des Garcons. A colorful leopard camouflage pattern is introduces with the Amur Collection.

Today we take a look at the first pieces from the new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection of premium Japanese leather accessories maker Roberu. Several size and different style wallets are part of the new line, as well as a leather card case. All pieces in the collection come in a series of colors and are launching this week in Japan.

Isetan will be releasing this exclusive soft colored checkered pattern Head Porter collection consisting of 5 items. As you can see here, a couple of different wallets, a pouch, an iPad pouch and iPad case will be offered at the Japanese retailer.

Stussy is always full of surprises and ventures to places where we do not see many streetwear brands go. With their Stussy Deluxe label they present a new collaboration with premium UK leather goods maker Ettinger.

“For Winter 2011, Stussy Deluxe has partnered with inconic UK leather goods company, Ettinger, for a co-branded leather billfold wallet that fuses premium materials with street design and style. Ettinger has produced fine leather goods for over 70 years and is one of only two leather goods manufacturers to have been granted a Royal Warrant by the British Royal family. The Stussy Deluxe x Ettinger Wallet is a custom made billfold with a coin pocket and is available in three color ways: black with yellow interior, brown with red interior and tan with powder blue interior. Utilizing a unique combination of leathers to accomplish the desired color patterns was new for Ettinger. Each pocket was created by cutting individual pieces of leather and the entire wallet is assembled by hand.”

The three colorways of the wallet from this collaboration are now available from Stussy.com.

When nanamica and The North Face Purple Label work together, good things happen. Take these Harris Tweed wallets for example. Three sophisticated bi-folds will be releasing Spring/Summer 2012 each available with tasteful patterns and constructed with high-quality textiles. If only these were available now. You will have to wait until May for shipping to commence, but until then, be sure to keep these on your radar.

HEX announces a skeek, genuine leather wallet case for the iPhone 4/4S. The HEX Solo wallet is a new offering along the lines of their popular Code Wallet (previously featured in collaboration with The Hundreds) that combines iPhone protection with slots to store cards or cash. In this case, they forgo the folding cover for an open face, and include a camera cutout for all the Instagram addicts. The wallet is available now in black or brown through HEX.

Japanese brand Arts & Crafts has teamed up with illustrator Matt Katayama on a series of leather accessories. From key cases to wallets and card cases, the collection includes a variety of different styles. Each piece received a color coordinated camouflage treatment by the artist. The collection is coming to stores May 2012, with pre-orders up already now over here.

We take a first look at the untold Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. As usual the Japanese brand presents some nice items, remixing classics, by adding their own details and accents to them. The parka, shirts and pocket tees are our favorite pieces so far. The collection will release early 2012, but is already up for pre-order from Zozo Grand.
