German streetwear brand Wemoto has collaborated with KangaROOS to create a special edition of the iconic ‘Combat’ sneaker. The WeMoto x KangaROOS Combat ECO Leather features a brown leather upper, rubber sole and orange lining.

Available in European stores towards the end of the year.

We preview the new Wemoto Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. Once again the brand expands their cut-and-sew offering, which is best reflected in their line-up of outerwear. Nice details and increased quality, as well as their still new basics line make this their best collection to date. Of course the brand still offers a strong series of graphic t-shirts, all coming with a good portion of sarcasm, just like we are used to see from them. Look out for the collection now at colette, Caliroots and other retailers around the globe.

German brand Wemoto has worked with Starter on their iconic “Natural” snapback cap. They keep it classic and offer the cap in black canvas with white stitching. It is now available in the Wemoto online store.

The much anticipated collaboration between Wemoto and Pointer has been released this week. Together they present a mid top boat shoe from the Pointer Collection and Wemoto also produced a t-shirt and a windrunner to go along with the shoe. All three pieces are now available from Frontline.

Today we can give you an early look at some upcoming styles from the Wemoto Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. The brand continues to develop nicely into the upcoming season. The leather jacket and the 60/40 parka are in our opinion the most interesting pieces. But you can of course always count on some good graphic t-shirts to be in there as well.

Wemoto already worked earlier this season with Manhattan Portage on a bag. Here comes their second interesting collaboration, this time with footwear brand Pointer. They worked on the brand’s mid top boat shoe, the Benson. It comes in a navy blue leather colorway with a beautiful striped canvas lining. The shoe is limited to 300 pairs and now available from Stil Laden.

Complementing their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection, German brand Wemoto has released for the first time their “Rap Idols” on t-shirts, after previously having featured them on skateboard decks and graphic prints. The t-shirts feature Method Man, Biggie and Snoop Dogg and are now available at premium retailers in Europe, including Caliroots and colette.

For Spring/Summer 2010 Wemoto teamed up with internationally renowned bag maker Manhattan Portage on a limited custom run of their best selling City Lights Bag.

The Wemoto x Manhattan Portage bag features two tags including the Wemoto’s world cartoon man on the front pocket. Made out of authentic 1000D Cordura® Nylon, the bag features two compartments, a belt loop, water-resistant interior and a removable shoulder strap.

Limited to 250 pieces only these bags will be available among selected stores all over Europe starting the second week of May.

In time for the Holidays we got together with our friends from Wemoto on a special little something. Inspired by their card board booth at the Bright tradeshow in 2006, the brand produced 15 card board/wood robots. Each robot comes with a personalized pendant and they are all given to friends and family. We are giving ours away to you. The robot is 20 inch high and comes with both Wemoto and Highsnobiety pendants.

Coming from similar backgrounds in the industry, Wemoto worked with Akomplice on a set of collaborative t-shirts. Akomplice was established in 2004, from the middle of nowhere in Colorado, while Wemoto started in 2003 in the fashion-deficient city of Wiesbaden, Germany. Despite their locations, each brand has been able to build and grow over the years through friendship and hard work. Taking their as inspiration for the project, each respective tee will be distributed by the other brand in their home territories of North America and Europe.

German brand Wemoto continues to develop nicely. We saw them last week at Bread & Butter and they will also be showing at Bright in Frankfurt this coming weekend.
Here we present you a first look at their Fall/Winter ‘08 collection. A strong lineup of t-shirts and cut & sew hoodies, as well as a nice lineup of accessories make the collection probably the strongest to come from the brand. We already saw their Spring ‘09 line, and there is much more to come.

German sneakers and cap brand Djinns is coming up with a massive collaboration collection in 2009. A couple of days ago we already showed you some images of their collab with Dream Team. It turns out that they also worked with Wemoto, Henri Obasi, Skwak and Buro Destrukt with more to follow. Each artist/brand designed a sneaker and a matching cap. The caps come in the form of fitted or 5-panel caps, depending on the brand.
