The collaboration Wings + Horns x Cool Cats varsity jackets have been released today. The jackets that come without the patches as part of the Wings + Horns Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, have been enhanced by the French label with a large chest patch, collaboration inner tag and lining. If the regular version is a little too subtle for your taste, you might want to check out this one. It is now available in two colorways from colette.

The second half of the highly-anticipated Nom de Guerre x Wings + Horns collection has arrived. Items include screenprinted cotton-cashmere blend tees, as well as Heavyweight Fleece Crewnecks with stitching details on the elbow and shoulders, and a 5-button Jeep Sweater in Coated French Terry. All items are made in Canada with the highest quality cotton. Now available at Roden Gray.

Two of our favorite labels have worked together for Fall/Winter 2009 on a small capsule collection. Nom de Guerre design meets Wings + Horns know-how and quality for a small range of fleece goods, of course produced in Canada. The first pieces, including tiger fleece hoodies and other heavy fleece pieces in several colorways have arrived at Roden Gray and they look very solid with tons of nice details. T-Shirts will still come later this season.

This season’s Melton Wool Varsity Jacket by Wings + Horns is in our opinion the by far strongest varsity jacket out. We have previewed it before and today we give you a look at a small collaboration with Cool Cats on the jacket. The French crew chose the navy/black version of the jacket and added a Cool Cats patch to the chest, keeping it overall subtle. They only made a small run of the jacket and it will be released late October.

Today at (capsule) show we discovered that a couple of our favorite labels – New York’s Nom de Guerre and Vancouver’s Wings + Horns – worked together on a series of two-toned fleece garments for Spring 2010. Styles range from simple ringer tees to more complex zip hoods and jackets, in brighter colors than we are used to seeing from either brand. Made in beautiful, British Columbia. The tag says “Date: Fall-Winter 2008″ but we’re told a release is on the horizon.

Wings + Horns has always been a favorite of ours. The Canadian brand has never let us down in terms of quality and at the same time continues to impress with innovative cuts on usually rather classic silhouettes. For Fall/Winter 2009 they present as usual some really strong fleece pieces, but also great shirts, jackets and accessories. Also the brand introduces new cotton/cashmere mixes. Expect the collection to be available from the end of the month at Roden Gray and other premium retailers.

Canadian brand Wings + Horns has finally released their Spring/Summer 2009 sneakers, that we previewed a while back.

“Perforated Italian Nappa is the name of the game this season, with both low tops and the white high top in the light, breathable leather. Zippers are back for all of the high tops and white rubber soles are the norm for the entire collection. The high top comes in a new colorway as well; it’s a very subtle dark blueish gray.”

We give you a first look at the Wings + Horns Spring/Summer 2009 sneakers. The Canadian brand introduced sneakers only last year and continues this season on that platform. This season they offer a couple of high top and low top perforated styles, as well as solid leather sneakers. The high tops come with the side zipper, the soles are always white.

Expect these to arrive at premium retailers in the next couple of weeks, including Goodlife.

The Canadian brand produces their entire collection in Italy and especially strikes us every season with their superb fleece pieces. That is no different this season, where they present a strong line-up of hoodies and fleece tops. Our favorite piece is the fleece blazer, an instant classic.
