You can always count on wings + horns for solid collections season after season. The Canadian contemporary menswear brand’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection is now hitting retailers and here is a look at some items available now. We don’t see anything out of the ordinary from w+h, but that’s not a bad thing. The collection consists of solid pieces like trousers, corduroy pants, chinos, oxfords, knits, blazers and one of the brand’s best offerings, their loop terry fleeces. The new releases are now available at Roden Gray.

They continue with their signature style, producing quality jersey pieces, nice blazers, and also some great shirts. We like the new patterns in the collection and also the leather biker jackets, next to the jersey, that is always exceptional.

Canadian brand Wings + Horns gives us a look at their upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. While staying true to its look and previous collections, we still feel like the upcoming line is a little different from what we are used to see from them. The fleece pieces are of course as strong as you would expect, featuring some great hoodies, crewneck sweaters, long-sleeves and shorts. Otherwise the collection is also looking nice, with the light weight motorcycle jackets, shirts and shorts being our favorite.

In an interesting team-up, UK’s Heritage Research got together with Canada’s Wings + Horns on two jackets for Fall/Winter 2011. They present this season a collaborative Fishtail Parka and a Bomber Jacket. Both have been constructed in the UK with British Millerain Waxed Cotton. Other nice details include quilted liners made of Natural Cambric cotton, Storm collars wtih zip out hoods, Swiss Riri zippers, and hidden snap pockets.

Canadian brand Wings + Horns continues to enlarge their sneaker offering for Fall/Winter 2011. This time they present three low tops and three high tops, featuring premium leather or suede uppers and a premium leather white toe cap. The high top sneakers also come with side-zippers. All of them feature leather lacing, only adding to the clean and premium aesthetic of the range. Roden Gray will be carrying the new sneakers from mid August 2011.

We get an early look at an upcoming Fall/Winter 2011 high top sneaker from Wings + Horns. The sneaker features a premium black leather upper with matching toe cap and a RiRi side zipper. The crisp white outer sole is a nice contrast and the leather laces a solid finishing touch. Overall a clean looking premium sneaker to look out for next season.

Canadian label wings + horns continues to be one of our favorites, season after season. They do an excellent job balancing current trends with staple looks and an acute focus on fit, material and craftsmanship. Their Fall/Winter collection was recently presented as part of Holt Renfrew’s Canadian showcase at LG Fashion Week in Toronto and does not disappoint. As you can see in the images above the Heritage Research British Millerain fishtail parka and the new Italo-made sneakers we previewed from (capsule) Paris were both shown, alongside some excellent down pieces, pants, sweatshirts and more.

We take a look at the latest from the Wings + Horns Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. The Canadian brand continues to present timeless garments to the highest standards. Included in the latest delivery are shirts, of course a bunch of fleece pieces and most interesting to us in this drop are the pants. The brand has sourced most of the fabrics from Japan this season and has also moved a good part of its production to Japan, with the rest made in Canada. As many of you will already know, Canadian label wings + horns makes custom bathrobes exclusively for the Ace Hotel. “The robes are a cross between an old-style boxing robe — a nod to the Ace NYC building’s boxing history –- and a modern-day hooded sweatshirt. They’re made from super comfortable french terry in Boulder Grey and have two front pockets and a big hood with a custom Ace x w+h label.” The good news is, they’re now selling them online! You can purchase one direct from Ace Hotel.

Our brothers at Selectism are also reporting live from (capsule) Paris. Here’s a great find. “Wings + Horns works with U.K. brand Heritage Research on this green mack inspired field coat. British Millerian is employed of course allows for a strong coat that stands out for the small stuff including a under-collar detail that sets it off nicely on those extra cold days and more military than heritage if I was to outright label it.”

After a brief hiatus, Canadian label wings + horns reintroduces footwear into their collection for Fall 2011. Made in Italy at the same factory as many luxury labels, the sneakers follow clean, well-established lines and let the premium materials shine. Two styles are available – a low (above) and a mid, with side-zip closure (after the click). Our favorite is the camel suede with white leather toe. Black suede on black leather can also be seen in our gallery. Live from (capsule) Paris.

Canadian label Wings + Horns presents their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.

The Cabinet of Curiosities and Wunderkammer (Wonder-rooms), were encyclopedic collections popularized during the Renaissance, cataloging objects and raritiies relating to natural history.

As a natural philosopher, Ole Worm assembled a great collection of curiosities, which ranged from native artifacts collected from the New World, to taxidermed animals, and fossils on which he speculated greatly. Worm compiled engravings of his collection, along with his speculations into a catalog of his Museum Wormianum, published after his death in 1655.

Wings + Horns prepares the traveler in their search of these particular rarities in conditions one may face on their adventures around the world while still staying true to the spirit of spring and summer.

Here we have some gorgeous gray fleece from Canadian label Wings + Horns. “Known to make some of the best fleece in the world, these pieces have become the bread and butter for the label. Vancouver based Wings + Horns has never let us down. The brand continues to impress and presents a very solid and easy to wear line-up of product, that looks almost basic at first, but the extremely high quality and good cuts put it onto a completely new level.

During our short Paris excursion, we had the chance to take an early look at the Wings + Horns Spring/Summer 2011 offering. Nobody beats the jersey of the Canadian brand. Beautiful jersey blazers, sweat pants, hoodies, sweaters and tops are part of the collection, complemented by solid jackets, plaid shorts, polos and more. Overall a beautiful line-up of casual and easy to wear premium clothing.
