Once again Wood Wood shows us a new footwear collaboration. After recently working with adidas, Converse and others, they now worked with Onitsuka Tiger on the classic X-Caliber GT. Once again the Copenhagen label impresses by creating a shoe that it both classic and wearable, yet different from the masses. Too many collaborations out there go too crazy and turn out to be un-wearable, and it is never the case with Wood Wood’s work.

Select retailers will be receiving the Onitsuka Tiger x Wood Wood X-Caliber GT beginning of August.

For Fall/Winter 2009 Wood Wood will be introducing a nice leather accessories collection. The entire collection has been worked in tanned leather and consists of wallets, pencil cases, pouches, tote bags, laptop bags and more. The Wood Wood logo has only been embossed, very small and overall also very subtle. Look out for a release of the accessories later this season.

World famous street artist Parra will be opening both a pop-up shop and exhibition this August in Berlin. The pop-up shop will be hosted at Wood Wood and offer products of art by Parra, while the Pool Gallery presents works of art by Parra. Events open on August 29tha nd August 27th respectively. Numerous interesting releases are coming to Wood Wood Berlin this week. We already showed you the QWSTION DJ Pack and now here a first look at their Happy Socks collaboration, thanks to our friends from Caliroots. The Wood Wood x Happy Socks “Corsa” Socks will be coming out this week, so make sure to pass by the store while attending Bread & Butter and other fashion events.

colette worked with urban car brand Smart on a small collection of goods. colette chose a series of brands from current and new smart markets from around the globe. Participating brands include Opening Ceremony, Wood Wood, Andrea Crews, Lala Berlin and Melissa. With each  brand they worked on an exclusive product. The line-up includes t-shirts, shoes, jewelry, scarfs and tote bags and they are all available now at colette.

Once again Bread & Butter presents their Flearmarket, a line-up of some of the strongest from around the globe, selling their goods for bargain prices. Aside from good deals you will also be able to purchase special collaboration items and items from their archives. After starting the Fleamarket last season, we see an even stronger line-up of stores this time around in Berlin. The line-up includes Overkill, Firmament, Reed Space, Wood Wood, Norse, Azita, Starcow, LimitEditions and Freshcotton.

The Wood Wood x Vice Magazine x Pool Gallery pop-up store in Vienna opened its doors over the weekend. Today we can give you a look inside. The space combines a store with a gallery space, at the moment showing works of Peter Beste.

Vienna will see an interesting new retail space open its doors in the next couple of days. Wood Wood got together with Vice Magazine Austria and Berlin based Pool Gallery, to bring you the WWXV Store.

The store will take place within the framework of the 9 festival for fashion and photography. The WWXV SHOP will be a combination of gallery and store offering sought-after goods from brands like Jeremy Scott, Head Porter and Peter Jensen – available in Vienna for the first time ever.

The gallery space will feature Peter Beste’s “True Norwegian Black Metal” photography which has previously been exhibited in Stockholm, Los Angeles and Berlin.

In autumn 2009, Wood Wood will introduce their new denim line called Double Denim. With subtle branding, emphasis is kept on shape and fit but with every little detail on point. Styles range from stretchy high waist slim-fit womens jeans and jackets to more classic mens silhouettes in Japanese selvedge denim, dyed and weaved in Okayama, Japan. All styles will be available in different materials and finishes.

Today we give you a more detailed look at the upcoming Wood Wood Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. The Danish label has made quite a name for itself in recent years, both at home and across the border as well. With interesting collaborative projects and their excellent mixed brand stores in Copenhagen and Berlin they further push the envelope.

The Fall/Winter 2009 Collection plays with classic knitwear, workwear and also brings a good amount of high fashion elements into the mix, resulting once more in a nice collection that is easy to wear.
