Japanese online magazine Openers joined forces with Japanese charity organization more trees to create a new 400% wooden Bearbrick – the Eco Value Wood Bearbrick. It is made out of recycled woodsand proceeds from the sale will go in part to the more trees organization.

New Balance is pleased to announce the introduction of the Elements 576 Collection, featuring a theme inspired by the basis of the universe according to Chinese Taoism: the elements. Three of the five elements in this age-old theory are realized in a collection of limited-edition shoes – Earth, Wood and Water.

The Elements 576 collection features design details that reflect each of the three elemental concepts. For instance, “Earth” features brown contrast stitching, a medial pattern reminiscent of layers of sediment and materials used to convey soil. “Wood” features a black and green design to signify tree bark and leaves, medial embroidery of trees and a unique “peel leather” to convey bark. “Water” embodies Zen-like serenity and tranquility, with a blue/white colorway, transparent rubber outsole and a recurring pattern of water bubbles.

Each shoe has a distinctive Chinese touch: the medial side of every Elements 576 shoe features the Chinese character that represents the shoe’s respective element.

The Elements 576 collection will be available in limited quantities and will retail for $100.00. The shoes will debut at retail spaced out over the spring: “Earth” is available 4/1/08, “Wood” will be available 5/1/08 and water will be available 6/1/08

The Hundreds are giving a preview of their upcoming New Era cap. This time the cap comes in two colorways – black and brown. The black and brown parts on the caps feature a wooden pattern, the two front panels are white and have the 3D embroidery “The Porch Life”. A fresh looking cap – It will be released at The Hundreds store tomorrow and will also be released at premium accounts over the next week. The cap will be released along with their new cardigans (black and grey) as well as knit sweaters. Get ready!

Usually when we see keychains made by a store, it ends up being a pretty cheaply done keychain, coming from China. Once again Foot Patrol does it better and optimized for handmade wooden keychains of their gas mask logo. Via Crooked Tongues.

The keychains are now available in store and are limited to 20 pieces per colorway.

Until now Puma has presented bikes as well as a limited edition bag under the Urban Mobility theme. Now they have launched an entire dedicated website for the theme and present a very large collection of bags and accessories. Overall the collection looks really nice, especially due to the wooden details on the bags. One can basically find any kind of bag (trolly, messenger bag, laptop bag, pouches, etc) in the line-up.
