WTAPS will be ringing in the new year with a small release of some very nice items. As part of this special drop, the label will be releasing a slim fitting stadium jacket in 3 classic colors including a very eye catching red piece highlighted by cream colored sleeves. A very shimmery down filled vest is also part of the collection, and it comes in a blue and black, both with a buffalo check lining. The last item is a military inspired shoulder bag. Check the Gip store after the new year to purchase.

Once again the entire Japanese fashion scene seems to have decided that Fall/Winter 2011 was the Harris Tweed season. We will never understand how this works, but everybody collaborated this season with the traditional fabric maker, including WTAPS.

Releasing this week is the Lumber Jacket, featuring a colorful check wool upper. Furthermore the Bullitt Jacket will release, along with matching gloves and hat. Each item features a Harris Tweed logo tag and nice detailing, just like we are used to see from WTAPS. Even though there seem to have been many Harris Tweed items this last season, these are certainly among our favorite.

Along with the Burgundy Bones Sneaker Pack, Vans and Japanese brand WTAPS present for Holiday 2011 the ‘V&W’ apparel and accessories collection. The line-up includes denim and denim jacket, beanies, shirts, t-shirts, a bandana and some keychains. Look out for these items at Vans Syndicate retailers soon. (Via honeyee)

You guys went nuts for these when we showcased them back in July and after months of anticipation, the final installment of the WTAPS product for Vans will be released for Holiday 2011. The cordovan burgundy “Bones” pack marks the end of a 5-year relationship that saw some of the most solid sneakers from the Syndicate line. These will be hitting Syndicate dealers this week including Silo.

A great new flight jacket has released from the WTAPS Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. The N-3B jacket has a rather classic first appearance, featuring black, military green or navy uppers with several pockets and patch details, as well as fur detail on the hood. WTAPS has released a great new piece from their Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. As usual being inspired by the military, the Japanese brand has reworked the iconic M-51 jacket. Featuring fur collars, the jacket comes in three classic colorways, featuring nice leather and metal details placed all over the upper. A jacket that you can simply not go wrong with.

The jacket is now available from GIP Store and other retailers.

One of the more bold pieces from the WTAPS Fall/Winter 2011 “Way of Life” collection from this season is the ‘Locals’ tour jacket. Two tiger’s heads adorn the front chest area of the jacket and a female human/tiger hybrid is placed right smack dab in the middle of the back with the words ‘Tiger Stipes’ right above her. You can easily walk from Shibuya to Harajuku, as the two are connected and only one train stop away from each other. Some places are easier to find than others, but there are so many great shopping areas in the city to explore and we would not want to miss a single one of them.

To celebrate the opening of their new GIP Store in Shibuya Tokyo, WTAPS will be releasing some special items. Next to a camouflage shoulder bag and a logo t-shirt, they will also drop a classic interpretation of the iconic M-65 jacket in military green. The product will release on the opening day of the store, September 10th, 2011.
