adidas and Samsonite are proud to announce an exclusive licensing agreement for Y-3. Following the Y-3 brand strategy and design direction, Samsonite will assume full responsibility for manufacturing and distribution, and will become the worldwide licensee of Y-3 bags, travel goods and leather accessories, starting with the Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

Let’s see what will come out of this interesting collaborative deal as of next year. Today we can show you a couple of pieces from the collection, which were featured on the runway.

The winter was long enough now and we cannot wait for the warmer days that lie ahead. With that in mind and your upcoming summer vacation, you might want to consider going to the beach in style. As part of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection, Y-3 offers a large beach towel and a matching soccer ball. Might be nothing for real soccer fans at first, but then again, adidas is known for making the best soccer balls.

Over the course of the last couple of weeks we have shown you a good amount of new Spring/Summer 2009 product from the Y-3 collection. Here comes now a new mood film that has been produced around the collection.

“Y-3’s campaign for Spring/Summer 2009 disregards convention in favor of a fresh perspective on the world. It is a look at a synthetic reality, an exploration of people’s lives seen as a glimpse through the lens of omnipresent surveillance cameras. The accompanying Y-3 movie captures a mood of undiluted elegance, vibrancy and sophistication – the mood of Y-3. Filmed by Darren Lew with the creative direction of Doug Lloyd, it reveals the verve of the Y-3 lifestyle where high performance meets high fashion.”

A while back we presented you the high top version of the sneaker, here now a detailed look at the Y-3 Spring/Summer 2009 Hejarklack Low. The brand offers the sneaker this season in an all white, black/white and a white/red/beige colorway, which is also our favorite. The mid-sole also gets the leather treatment, giving this low top trainer a more high end appeal.

An interesting slip-on style is coming from the Y-3 Spring/Summer 2009 Collection – the Ashiko. It comes with a mesh upper and satin stripes going around the foot. This season it is available in a black/orange and an off-white/navy colorway.

Another solid high top sneaker is coming from the Y-3 Spring/Summer 2009 Collection – the Hejarklack High. Let’s not discuss the name, the sneaker is much better than that. It comes in three colorways this season and the quality of leathers used on the upper is outstanding. We also like the overall subtle attitude of the style.

Yesterday we presented to you the “Beach” collection from the Y-3 Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. Here now a look at the “Mobility” collection, which comes with a slightly more subtle and more technical design. The “Mobility” collection offers backpacks, messenger bags, wallets, pouches, travel bags and more in its line-up. All pieces come in black and feature a tonal Y-3 logo print on the front.

We give you a first look at the Y-3 Spring/Summer 2009 “Beach” Luggage Collection. The line right away attracted some attention, because usually we only see black pieces from Y-3. We like the striped design of the collection and the mix of canvas and leather, making it a nicely balanced casual collection for the warmer days ahead. From backpacks, duffel bags to totes, the line offers a good selection.

Yesterday we gave you a look at the Honja Hi from the Y-3 Spring/Summer 2009 Collection, here now a look at the low counterpart. The Y-3 Honja Low comes in a variety of colorways, using different materials on the upper, ranging from suede, to wrinkled leather and canvas. Our personal favorite is the above striped version of the sneaker.
