QUOLOMO has announced the forthcoming solo exhibition of photographs by Japanese photographer Yasumasa “Yone” Yonehara entitled “QUOLOMO YONE” The exhibition, supported by fashion and culture magazine DAZED & CONFUSED JAPAN, features works photographed by Yonehara for his popular “TALKING ABOUT HER SEX” photo series, a staple of the magazine. At the exhibition, Yonehara’s signature style and artistic vision will also appear on a series of twenty collectable “QUOLOMO YONE” photo t-shirt designs, available to the public, and featuring Japanese models Sora Aoi, Yuuki Maomi, You Hirukawa, Keiko Wakita and Mikiko Yano. The “QUOLOMO YONE” exhibition will run from January 23, 2009 to February 28, 2009, in the PART1 B1F Event Space of Tokyo’s iconic Shibuya PARCO shopping complex.

As a compliment to the “QUOLOMO YONE” exhibition, on February 1, 2009, Yonehara and QUOLOMO will launch www.quolomoyone.net, a bilingual microsite that will act as both an online exhibition and web retail space. The site will allow global fans and collectors of Yone’s prolific work to experience “QUOLOMO YONE” and purchase limited offerings from the co-branded “QUOLOMO YONE” t-shirt series.

We came acros some images of the new Yone x Zippo exhibition, that took place in Taiwan. The Japanese photographer worked with Zippo and model Yuki Maomi. The artist did not use the Zippo like we are used to see, with engravements, he actually printed his photos on the upper. The outcome is a huge amount of Zippo lighters, displaying his artwork. Yonehara Yasumasa, aka Yone, has made quite a name for himself in the art scene in recent years. It looks like the photographer has a project coming up with Greedy Genius. The two collaborated on a sneaker. Here is a little preview of the shoe via Jeff Staple.

The Mask got together with artist Yone for a t-shirt collaboration. Yone is a Japanese artist/photographer that recently held an exhibition at the Reed Space New York, after also shooting the Staple 10th anniversary lookbook. The t-shirt comes with a photo print of the artists work and is now available at Zozo.
