Yuketen has grown to become one of our favorite casual footwear brands these recent years. We appreciate the high quality, premium materials, updated vintage inspired styles and also the comfort of the collection. For Fall/Winter 2009 the brand presents boots, oxfords, mocs and chukkas. We usually tend to prefer the ones with thinner soles. Our favorites this season include the Sports Hunt Boots, Ranger Chukka and the 6″ Lace Up Boots. The collection is now available from Opening Ceremony.

As part of their Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, Yuketen presents the Sports Hunt Boots, which are based on their classic mocassin that they first launched their brand with in 1995. The sole unit is made from real crepe, which is of course, 100% natural rubber from Brazil and takes about 4 hours to hand sew to the upper. The boots come in light brown suede and in chocolate brown premium leather and are both now available at Oi Polloi.

The good people from Selectism are this week busy visiting the (capsule) show in New York. Once again numerous great menswear brands from around the globe get together to showcase their collections to stand-out stores and buyers. One has to appreciate the traditional take of Yuketen on footwear. In terms of quality and construction their shoes are hard to beat. Releasing today at OiPolloi is the Yuketen Driving Shoe, a classic moccasin with lots of nice details, while keeping an overall classic look. If you want to look a little different than everybody around you in their new boat shoes, you might want to check these out.

Last week we presented to you the Chukka Moccasin from the Yuketen and Woolrich Woolen Mills collaboration this season. Here now a look at the Venetian Slip-On, that is also part of their collaboration. The outcome is a nice and very easy to match everyday leather shoe. These are now available at The Bureau.

A very nice Chukka Moccasin comes from a collaboration between Yuketen and Woolrich Woolen Mills. The shoe comes in a nice dark brown leather colorway with matching dark rubber sole and leather laces. It is exactly what we would expect from these two brands, an all in all solid shoe.

When it comes to leather shoes, Yuketen has always been one of our favorite labels. Here we give you a look at their Spring/Summer 2009 Ranger Mocc.

The Yuketen Ranger Mocc comes with a grain waxed leather upper and lining and crepe sole unit, brass eyelets and raw hide laces. The shoes are best described as a super-posh, handmade Wallabee. It comes in a brown Yuketen shoe bag (tan pair has a beautiful chambray bag with blue leather Yuketen tab) and proper shoe box to compliment a pair of shoes of this quality. And they are handmade in USA.

The Yuketen Ranger Mocc is now available in two colorways at Oi Polloi.
