GUCCI

If, at first, you succeed, why not go again? Once you've struck gold twice, the success of a third probably feels like a given, so why not? By the looks of it, that's the thinking driving Gucci and The North Face collections as their third collaborative offering touches down.

I don't know about you, but when the initial release of Gucci and The North Face's ongoing partnership was announced and subsequently reached the market, it came as a pretty big surprise. Sure, the collaboration had long been teased, but it felt like something that could only come to life through concepts or bootlegs.

Once the reality of it all set in, it was clear to see that both brands were treating this collaboration with the respect it deserved. What could have easily been a few logo flips was a thoughtfully considered collection that married the best of both, presented in a tightly knit package of expert campaigns and visual treatments.

Two drops down with Gucci fans hungry for more, the pair have reconnected ahead of fall's arrival, and the newest line-up maintains its focus on bold, youthful style with a luxurious edge.

This time around, TNF's 1970s silhouettes and equipment designs take point, presented as the collection's foundations. No Nuptses here; instead, you'll find the goose-feather down padded Sierra Parka and Mountain Parka amongst a broad selection of sweats, hoodies, pants, bags, and the chunky Gucci Rhyton sneaker.

As is standard for the collaboration's chapters (which you can find online now), an exciting palette of rich retro-inspired colors and prints extends across the offering, ensuring each piece is a statement maker. Go bold or go home, right?
