Editor's Notes: When it comes to the best colorways of individual Nike Air Jordan models, the AJ4 "Military Blue" stands toe-to-toe with the best of the best. Amongst the 4s, the colorway is arguably second only to the fan-favorite "Bred."

The title of 'best military colorway' might soon be given to a newcomer, thanks to an upcoming "Military Black" iteration. A bold statement, but one that could easily hold some weight.

Teased by Sneaker Files as part of a series of mockups for Jordan Brand's Spring/Summer 2022 lineup, the colorway serves as the desaturated mirror of the OG "Military Blue." That means the leather upper retains its stark white coloring, while overlays and accents are rendered in a cool grey, and all of the previously blue elements, are remixed in black.

Since official images touched down, fans have been swooning over this pair. Given the sharp rise in popularity the render has seen since the original tease, it's unlikely that these will be an easy cop, and even likelier that they'll fetch a pretty penny on the secondary market. Brace yourselves.

While there's no telling what the final seasonal calendar will look if these are anything to go by, Jordan Brand is already teeing up for another strong year – one that includes the slick, seemingly EU-exclusive "Zen Master."

In case you forget, 2021 was stacked for fans of the Air Jordan 4, including drops like the "Shimmer," "Red Thunder," "Lightning," and "Tech White" colorways.
